Stonefire Dragons, Book 12

Nearly a year ago, an injured human female showed up on Stonefire’s land carrying a flash drive full of information stolen from the Dragon Knights. However, before Zain Kinsella could interrogate her, she fell into a coma and hasn’t awoken since. After his initial anger fades, he wonders if the thin, pale girl will ever wake again. When she does, it’s up to him to help guard her and make her strong enough to face some questioning. He most definitely shouldn’t notice her delicious heat or the sadness in her eyes. She’s a prisoner and can be nothing more.

Ivy Passmore finds herself inside a dragon-shifter hospital, bedridden and barely able to sit up. Despite the overwhelming grief at the death of her brother, she’s determined to do everything she can to atone for her part in helping the Dragon Knights and causing her brother’s murder. She’s more than ready to tell the dragons everything. When one tall, quiet Protector makes a deal - she endures his physical therapy, and he’ll help track down her brother’s killers - Ivy has no choice but to agree. Slowly, her idea of dragon-shifters changes, especially around one certain dragonman.

As two former enemies morph into something more, the Dragon Knights find out about Ivy's location and offer a reward for her death or capture. Will Stonefire be forced to give her up to protect their clan? Or, will Zain and Ivy be able to find a path where they can defeat the Knights and be together?

Persuading the dragon

The performance of this book is great, the narrator has done a fantastic job. He really brings the story to life for the listener.

After being in a coma for almost a year Ivy finally wakes up with missing memories and a hate of dragon shifters. Her years with the knights resulted in brain washing and hatred. Zain has been waiting almost a year for Ivy to wake up so he can get to the bottom of the information she provided his clan. As they spend more time together, Ivy realises the extent of her brainwashing and slowly starts to realise the truth. This enemies to lovers is a very slow burn book but all the more enjoyable for it. Reading as their relationship changes and evolves was an absolute pleasure.

I really love hearing the characters come to life.

It is a classic of enemy becoming friend then lover. I really loved watching zain fight against his dragon about ivy. Ivy grew as she gained more knowledge and i love how it takes kids to help her grow. She is a strong woman and is able to stand up for what's right after she learns the truth abut dragon shifters. I loved watching zain grow from hating her to loving and accepting as well as helping her learn more about herself and others around her.

This one hit all my fan buttons.

Zain & Ivy

I read the book almost a year ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now, listening to it with the accents enhanced the enjoyment. The narrator is wonderful having performed for other books by the author.

His job is to protect the clan. Zain never considered he'd be watching over an enemy of the clan. Still, it became hard to consider Ivy an enemy. The young human woman has been in a coma for a year and finally, she's awake. She brought evidence that could help fight the enemy of the dragons. Does that mean she herself is no longer an enemy? Looking at her, spending time with her is changing his feelings. What will happen with the information she brought and her feelings about the clan?

Ivy shouldn't find herself drawn to the dragon. Even though she brought evidence that could help them she only did it to find out who and why her brother was killed. Was there anyone she could turn to? The more time she spends with the dragons, the more she realizes what she's been told isn't true. And the protector is someone she has feelings for.

To save the clan, the two become part of a daring plan. A plan that proves they were both wrong and feelings between humans and dragons can become serious. Will they have a chance to find out if there is a future for them together or will those who are now both of their enemies change it all?

A love story with some old friends and new ones. A fun time with Daisy and Freddie will add some comic relief. I am a huge fan of the kids and visiting friends from other books. This book hits all my fan buttons.

Zane is my favorite!!!!

I have been waiting for Zane's story for so long. I don't know why but I just fell in love with Zane when i got a sneak peek at him in another story.

Zane is a protective on Stonefire & he is put in charge of protecting/ getting information from a former dragon knight.

Ivy is a former Dragon Knight that has found herself on Stonefire needing protection.

Will Zane be able to protect Ivy or will the Dragon Knights get to her 1st?

Turning the knight

This was a fabulous story. It was so interesting to learn so much about the Dragon Knights and how they had brainwashed so many people. Watching Ivy win over Zain, Nikki, Bram and so many more on Stonefire was so heartwarming. Loved the rapport between Zain and Ivy. The teasing and the way they grew to trust each other and confide in each other was nice to see. Never disappointed in a Jessie Donovan story.
Brian was awesome as usual. He does such a great job with the accents . The fact that I can pick up the different origins or the different areas is all because he does such a good job. Together with the story it comes alive.
