Tolkien meets Shock and Awe

Orcs. Trolls. Wraith riders. Dark wizards. Together, they form an unstoppable force. Or so they thought.

Dark Army...meet the US Army Rangers.

When a Joint Task Force of elite Rangers are transported to a strange and fantastic future where science and evolution have incarnated the evils of myth and legend, they find themselves surrounded, pinned down, and in a desperate fight for their very survival - against nightmares of flesh and blood made real. Which means only one thing.

It’s time to Ranger up and stack bodies.

The forces of evil have no idea how dangerous a Ranger has been trained to be, and once the action starts, it won’t let up in this no-holds-barred, full-auto, epic battle for survival in the Forgotten Ruin.

From the creators of Galaxy's Edge....

Buy in, and jock up for this thrilling WarGate adventure. A battle unlike any other is calling.

Does not Disappoint!

This book is everything you would expect from this creative team of authors and a little more.
This is a great stand alone but there could be more. (More Please!) Much better than most adult fairy tales (this isn't one but has done similar elements) and it's fun to see what happens when the military visits fantasyland.
I love that this book is appropriate for a PG-13 audience so I can share with anyone.
The narrator keeps the story moving along and gives an interpretation of the material that is thoroughly enjoyable.

A great idea brilliantly executed

US Army meets the Orcs of Middle-Earth. I almost did not buy this book, not because I thought the premise was bad but because I did not think it could be pulled off. I was very surprised when from almost the first few minutes this book grabbed me and ran. It is like the seventh age of Middle-Earth (there is some awesome backstory hinting at more). If you like action packed books that do not take themselves too seriously and combine a really interesting backstory ... this book is for you.

EPIC

The Fish out of water story has been done before. Modern guy dumped into a fantasy setting, fantasy guy dumped into a modern day setting, and every combination thereof. This concept is something that struck me as truly unique, so if you think this is something you've read before, you couldn't be more wrong.
The characters are compelling, the vocal performance is top notch, and really added to my overall enjoyment of the tale.
GET. THIS. BOOK.

Warcraft meet Modern Warfare

It starts off a little generic military scifi. But once it gets going, its thrilling to listen to and hard to put down. Ive been missing a book like this and its a cool concept worth exploring further.

They better write another one or ill haunt them. Five out of five:)

Great Idea

It's like D&D meets Skyrim Meets command and conquer with RC bray as the dungeon master.

Tolkien is warned

This is my Lord of the Rings its what i want in a fantasy setting, and it delivers in spades. This book does not stop till there are no words left for the narrator to say and it leaves you wanting more. Also the narrator is such a good match for this story he finds the right tone to match the mood of the chapter.

Great Military Fantasy Mix

This book was interesting and engaging from start to finish. I loved how it incorporated all the fun fantasy elements that I love along with the juxtaposition of military straightforwardness. I really enjoyed the accuracy and realistic interpretation of what would occur when these two settings came into conflict. My only complaint was that someone should have caught that the voice actor was mispronouncing brazier. That totally pulled me out of the narrative every time I heard it.

this one checks all the boxes!

when I saw this one and read the synopsis I thought well that's certainly different, an original, and interesting concept involving two of my favorite genera's I bet its not very good well I was wrong! so so WRONG ok the premise of how they get to the other place seems pretty weak and flimsy but I understand.once past that everything gets kicked up a notch characters are very believeable especially for anyone who has been in the services I hope there are many more of these coming because I didn't know I needed this until I experienced it 5 stars to the authors 5 stars to the narrator great job id give you all 7 stars if it would let me. if you are reading this and not sure if its worth a credit I say buy with confidence! its a wild ride you wont soon forget.
