Slightly Unbelievable Plot

The storyline about a superstar actress Skye who allowed herself to be bullied and dominated by her manager was slightly unbelievable. Yes, when she was an unknown actress just getting started maybe but not when she was almost 30. Besides the glaring plot problem, Trent and his Shadows Landing crew were entertaining, Not sure I would want to live anywhere with deadly reptiles, but the southern cooking sounded amazing,

All the action and alligator

I love every book I listen in this series lots of action and crazy old lady’s make the book even more

Funny. Great Narration!!

From Hollywood to Shadows Landing, there were twists and turns. A number of things I did not expect cropped up.

I liked Trent and Skye's romance even before she turned up in Shadows Landing. They were a sweet couple.

The thing that made this book a hit for me had to do with the citizens, friends, family, and associates of Shadows Landing. These quirky characters had me laughing. There were still some serious moments, and as usual, Shadows Landing came to the rescue.

When I need to relax, enjoy, giggle, or laugh out loud, Shadows Landing and the excellent narration by Eric G. Dove is the place for me. I also get the plus of an epilogue!

The laughter just keeps coming!

Talk about fun! Kathleen Brooks keeps bringing the laughter with all those wonderful characters from Shadows Landing. This time there was just enough angst to get you invested with the story but not enough to have you wanting to tear your hair out. This one flows well and quickly into the meat of the action. Hat's off for another author for giving us bad ass women worthy of bad ass men! Eric G. Dove does a wonderful job as always and brings all the characters to life in his own unique way. I never have to wonder who is who when this man is narrating the story. The people of Shadows Landing come together to take care of their own and rise to the occasion like only they can. I am so looking forward to hearing the next chapter in this series. Well worth the credit!
