Enjoyable

I enjoyed this story so far , I am anxious to read the next book in the series .

Not bad.

New author and narrator for me. I liked the story, definitely a different take on this iconic couple but it needed a male narrator too, or a different narrator altogether. Laurel did okay but her narrating was too bland for my taste.

love it !! i wish there was more sex scenes!!

i really like the books wish there was more sex but the story was so entertaining that i kind of dont mind, but still wish there was more sex !!

What a disappointment

Far too much unnecessary sexuality to this book, you usually know when to let the reader’s imagination take over. More magic, more suspense, more action, your books from “Dragon’s Gift series” were spectacular. You’ve fallen back into Mythean Arcana days.

I love it!

I've just finished Awakened after listening to this Infernal. I was so excited to find a Hades and Persephone story on audible! It's so good, I finished this book and immediately bought the next two! I'm so glad there's more because I love it!
Laurel Schroeder is an excellent narrator as well.

Ehhh

So I’m a sucker for mythology and retelling of it, but I this just wasn’t it for me. The story itself wasn’t anything that particularly stood out but the audio for it could definitely have been better. The accent used wasn’t consistent and made it confusing and honestly made me want to stop listening.

Good story. Bad writing. Rapey sex scenes.

The story is interesting. I would have loved to read it without all the “totally” and “basically” etc which really took me out of the world.
Worse than the teenage writing as if I were reading a diary was the rapey rapey sex scenes only written from the male perspective. At one point it’s straight up written that he does not need her consent. Honestly this book is written badly enough that it wasn’t traumatizing so much as eye roll worthy. I just hope no teenagers pick this up and think that’s what sex should be.
I had hope for a female written fantasy but nope just more forcible, unavoidable sex that the female character doesn’t rationally even want.
