The Search is Over

If you liked the Goonies you will like Searching for Love. Zev is a treasure hunter who has thought of two things since he was a kid. Carly Dylan and The Pride. The Pride being a sunken ship full of treasure. He and Carly hoped to one day find the ship that interested them so much.

Over the years things changed and they went different paths until Zev’s brothers wedding brings them crashing into each others lives again.

I did find this book to be a little predictable but none the less it is a great story to listen to. Virginia Rose and Brian Pallino narrate and they do a great job. They make you feel like you are right there hunting for treasure. Heyyyyy youuuu guyssss you need to listen to this book!!!

Zev and Carly

If you like second-chance romances then buckle up and grab a beverage of choice and settle in. I listened to the audiobook narrated by Virginia Rose and Brian Pallino. Their voices, inflections and tone blend perfectly together to make this a highly enjoyable listen.

This is the story of Zev Braden and Carly Dylan who were childhood best friends, first everything and of course and first loves.

Everyone thought they’d go on to marry, but a heartbreaking tragedy struck and upended their world, affecting both families and causing Zev in his ignorance of youth and not enough life experience, to leave Carly behind for her own good. *Sidenote: I hate when people make those kind of decisions for someone else. and it usually isn’t the right decision for either one. As we know the road to hades is paved with good intentions.

Both have grown up and forged different lives for themselves. Zev went on to become a treasure hunter, a lifestyle he’d always hoped to share with Carly and Carly carved out a new life for herself as a chocolatier far from their hometown.

Fate and a helping hand bring them back together at Zev’s brother Beau and his fiancé Charlotte Sterling’s wedding.

The chemistry burns even hotter after a decade apart and as these two, now adults, reconnect. The derp and abiding love is ever present, but can these two forge a real life together when they’ve been living in such different worlds?

Searching for Love is a classic Melissa Foster book with old friends and family returning as well as meeting interesting and very likable new characters.

I think you’ll love the witty banter, passionate and sexy moments and the emotional highs and lows of this second-chance romance as much as I did.

loved

**Review Update** I read this book when it was first published. I just l finished listening to the audio book. I love the narrations of Virginia Rose and Brian Pallino.  I love audio books, I listen while I'm in my car, cooking and I put my headphones in and listen right before bed.

Zev and Carly dated young till college. Once their friend was killed in a car accident, Zev took off without any warning. He was gone for years, which ripped Carly apart. Carly has now settled down in her life, running her chocolate store. Knowing she would see Zev at her friends wedding. She wanting to show how over Zev she was. So Carly brought a friend as a date. Zev had no idea she would be at his brothers wedding. Zev was determined to win Carly back. This book for me was an emotional rollercoaster. At some points I found myself mad at Zev for leaving Carly. You know you're reading a good book when your emotions go up and down. That's what makes Melissa's books so good. As always, Melissa's wrote a fantastic book. I love how Melissa includes previous characters in all her books. This book has a HEA with no cliffhanger. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic!

Melissa has written another mind blowing story. It is fun, romantic, sexy, and has plenty of laughs to keep you entertained until the last word.
Zev and Carly were the best of friends since second grade. Zev said that she was the only girl to keep up with him. Then one day a death of a friend tore them apart. Zev went on his treasure hunting expeditions in the ocean. It was a dream that Zev and Carly had together for years, but Carly went to Colorado and took over her aunts chocolate shop. Years later they met again at a wedding, and there were feelings that could not be denied. What an adventure!
Virginia Rose and Brian Pallino narrated the story and they were fabulous! They each had perfect voices for the characters. I thought I was watching a movie with me standing there watching with my emotions on my sleeve.

Second Chance at Love!

Zev and Carly were inseparable growing up. They were always going on adventures and had big plans for their future until tragic struck and Zev left Carly behind. Throughout the years, their love for one another was still there.

As the years past, Zev continued his adventures as a treasure hunter and a jet setter, where as Carly is now a business owner. At Beau and Charlotte's wedding, Zev is shocked to see Carly. Even though she knew he would be there, she is not prepared to face him. Zev is determined to beg Carly for a second chance and asks her to spend the week with him while he's in town. When she agrees, Zev plans outings that will bring back the adventurous side to Carly. As their time together is coming to an end due to Zev's treasure hunting expedition, he promises Carly they will make it work long distance.

This is a wonderful story of second chances and letting go of past hurts to find a happily ever after. Brian Pallino and Virginia Rose did a great job narrating Zev and Carly's story.

Great stories just keep on coming

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. The stories that Melissa Foster brings to the listener/reader are always great. None of the themes are repeated and each one is so very unique. This second-chance romance between Zev and Carly was inspiring. I was cheering for the reunion from the beginning. However, they both fight their history and their attraction. The author writes suspense with a touch of humor. I found myself chuckling. I really enjoy Melissa's writing talent. The narrators did a great job with the characters, their personalities and the overall story.

A passionate love story!

Ms. Foster has created another passionate love story that pulls on the heartstrings. This is a second chance trope about Zev and Carly, who became friends when they were very young and hand their relationship progress all the way to lovers. They had their future planned out, but than a tragedy sent Zev leaving their home town. He and Carly are reunited and slowly work their way back together temporarily. They have very different lives now--their dreams are no longer the same. Zev is still searching for the sunken boat and treasure that they planned on recovering together. Could he discover that Carly is the most priceless treasure of all?

I listened to the audio version of this book. The narration by Virginia Rose and Brian Pallino were spot on.

Thanks to Melissa Foster for the gifted copy of this audio book.
