Publisher's summary

The Montgomery Ink: Boulder series concludes with a fake relationship where the heat and emotional connection are anything but false.

The moment Madison McClard’s parents tell her that her ex is getting married, there’s no getting out of their latest scheme. One moment she’s trying to get out of their clutches. The next, they’re telling her exactly who she’ll marry to save the family name. The one thing her parents don’t count on, however: Aaron Montgomery.

Aaron Montgomery didn’t mean to lie. Still, as soon as he overheard Madison’s dilemma, the words fell out of his mouth. Now, he’s fake engaged to a woman he barely knows, who also happens to be his new brother-in-law’s cousin.

As the deception mounts, so does the attraction. They told themselves it was only a ruse, but as feelings ramp and dangers surge, this Montgomery may have just met his match.

He simply has to fight to keep her.

Touching and emotional fake romance story!

4.5-loved it stars! This review is for the audiobook:

I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook of Seduced In Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan and I loved it. Narrated by Teddy Hamilton, I loved listening to Aaron and Madison’s story. A fake relationship romance that was emotional and touching. Madison’s ex is getting married and her parents have decide to set her future for her. What is a girl to do when Aaron decides to jump to her rescue and now they are fake engaged?

My heart broke for Madison, whose parents tended to walk all over, but I loved watching her grow during her journey. Aaron was caring and fun. They were friends and never expected the lines to blur, but now, can they see what is right in front of them? I loved their chemistry and watching them explore more in their relationship.

Happy listening!

Good addition to this series

What started as a fake relationship turned into so much more for Aaron and Madison. In the beginning, Aaron was riding a white horse and saving the day for Madison from her parents who were quite honestly abusive in how they treated her by stating that he was engaged to Madison as as rouse to take the pressure from her parents off of her while she worked on finding the inner strength to stand up to them for what she wanted in life. Their fake relationship then grew into something real as these two friends realized that there was more between them. Add into this story the reappearance of characters from previous books and a crazy man named Guy that was not taking no for an answer to marriage from Madison and you have a good read.

The characters Arron and Madison were well written and had chemistry between them. I thought that at times Madison was a bit on the weak side in that she would just take the abuse from her parents under the guise that she loved them since they were her parents and were not always so horrible to her. As for the parents, they were self absorbed, verbally and mentally abusive to their only child in the name of status and appearances who did not deserve to be called parents that in the end had a great epiphany and did a complete 180 in how they acted with all forgiven in the end. I found that a bit unbelievable but no matter since this is fiction. Aaron was a strong character in that he could not stand by and watch a person that he honestly cares about take such abuse and then stood by while Madison found it inside herself to stand up for what she wanted in life.

Overall, this was a well written story that I enjoyed from the start. The plot moved along and the characters were relatable to. I enjoyed the return of the characters from the previous books since they are all inter connected. The narration in the audio version was enjoyable to listen to as Teddy Hamilton did a great job bringing this story to life. In the end this was a good read that I would recommend to others.

❤️❤️❤️

Aaron Montgomery is a good guy (hot too, but that’s another thing). So when he hears his friend Madison being verbally beat up & strong armed by her mom, he can’t help but step in. And say he’s her fiancé. After the initial shock wore off, they decided to go with it, to give Madison time to stand up for herself to her mother, who doesn’t quit on trying to push someone else on her (she’s a hard pill to swallow). Soon things start heating up for real, and fake gets kinda hot. There are still hurdles, like a jerk and a mom, but they work really good together to face and conquer them. And turn a friend helping a friend into real love. And Teddy Hamilton does a great job of bringing the story to life

So much more than a simple fake fiance story

Wow. I thought this was just going to be a simple fake fiance story, but Carrie Ann Ryan does nothing simple. Stalker wanna-be boyfriend/fiance. Scheming and manipulative mother. And a father who shows no interest. Man Maddison hit the trifecta.

All Aaron wanted to do was protect Maddison from her mother's cutting words. Now he's a fiance and going to family events that he never expected to have to do. Plus the wanna-be boyfriend/fiance is everywhere they go. Can we say S-T-A-L-K-E-R.

When push comes to shove and she needs help, who will be there for her.

It's been a while since I have listened to a book narrated by Teddy Hamilton. It is always a joy listening to him.

The last Montgomery is headed for his HEA but not before lots of drama to get in the way! Aaron and Madison's story is one of my favorites.

Friends to Lovers!

This is a story about friends to lovers, forgiveness and repairing relationships that have been damaged.

Aaron has always had a thing for Madison. When her mother corners Madison and introduces her to the man she arranged for her to marry, Aaron throws a wrench in that plan when he announces that they are engaged. As they stumble through this "fake" engagement to get her mother off her back, Aaron and Madison hide their true feelings for one another fearing that when this charade of an engagement ends, one or both could get hurt. It takes a horrifying incident for feelings to finally come to the surface and for a family to come together.

Amazing friends to lovers story!

A wonderful fake boyfriend romance, or well, fake fiancé. I’ve really enjoyed reading Madison and Aaron’s story. It had all the emotion, character growth, and romance I’d hoped for. Madison is treated more than a little shabbily, often cruelly even, by her parents, and she has trouble standing up for herself. It’s not easy to go against your parents, and when her mother takes her cruelty and controlling behavior to the next level, Aaron intercedes and poses as Madison’s fake fiancé to help get some of the pressure of her. Lies tend to complicate matters, of course, even well-intentioned ones, and as Aaron and Madison get thrown together more, it gets more and more difficult to sort out what is real between them and what isn’t. Aaron and Madison have great chemistry and appreciate each other for who they really are. I loved them together! I also loved how playful and sensual they are and how caring. Aaron can get protective and a little jealous, which is understandable given the uncertainty about where they stand. Communication is key, as he should now, what with all the romance novels he reads. Loved that about Aaron! Madison is a strong character, if not in as obvious a way as other more outspoken characters in the series, but in her capacity for love and forgiveness. She learns to stand up for herself more, which was awesome, and I was so happy with how things eventually evolved between her and her parents. Apart from the wonderful romance and great character development, there is also some suspense and danger thrown in, upping the tension levels and emotional intensity of the story even more. Unexpected twist there, loved it. Loved this entire story.

Narration: Teddy Hamilton did a good job with his performance of this story. This was a very engaging listen, and I liked the voices he did for both Madison and Aaron.
