Publisher's summary

It’s Jonnie’s senior year, and her dream is to be the best wide receiver on the Buccaneers’ football team. But when she walks onto the field, the guys aren’t looking at her like they used to - especially her best friend and captain of the team Skyler.

Skyler’s floored when he sees his best friend Jonnie after being gone all summer. Growing up, she was the tomboy he chased around the playground, but now? He’s got a different game in mind.

Football is easy. Falling in love with the wide receiver? Things couldn’t be more complicated.

Original take on friends to couple romance

I really enjoyed this story! Many of the friends to couple romances don’t have much of the “other girl” aspect, which makes this story an original take on the common theme. I liked how this story encompassed the “love triangle” and I look forward to the next story involving Aiden and Amberlyn. The narrator did a good job making me feel like I was there watching the story unfold.

good teen story

an engaging story of football &teen love.
a tomboy football team member became a woman over the summer, or so her male team members thought.

High school football

It’s a classic high school football story but with a pretty cool awesome twist. I haven’t the faintest idea of football and terminology but I got into the story that my lack of knowledge didn’t matter. It was very easy to follow. It was amusing to listen to the usual ups and downs of relationship of the teenage years. It was cool though that the relationship of the characters ran way deeper than a typical high school classmate. They had a lot of history! Loved the bonus chapter too!

Sweet YA Sports Romance

A girl football player? I’ve certainly never met one. This story is sweet and sweeps you along to the finish.
The narrator did a good job helping the book come to life.

A fun coming of age story

This was a fun high school sweethearts romance that explored the impact of girls playing on a boys’ sports team.

Overall, I liked the story a lot, except for the fact that Jonnie didn’t seem at all concerned about the impact of her decisions on her relationship with her best friend. So the resolution to that thread of the story seemed a bit too neat.

Yet this is a well-written and narrated story, and I look forward to reading future stories by the same author.

Enjoyed this YA romance

I really liked this YA romance (which typically isn't what I read). I love football and the other books I've read from this author I enjoyed. I'm so glad I took a chance on this, it was a fun, clean, sweet read. I liked how it ended.

The narration was well done.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving this review.

Cute YA

Pass Me the Ball is a cute YA with a fast pace and adorable characters with good chemistry. I’m really interested in the next book in this series. The narrator gave a great performance with slightly differing voices for characters, yet not overly dramatic.

Teenage sports romance

I read this one after reading book four and so it gave away some of the story. I recommend listening or reading the books in order. Two best friends realize they have feelings that go deeper than friendship. Two main problems. One already had a girlfriend. And they play together on a football team. What could go wrong?

Excellent

I always enjoy the authors book, she mixes them with a sport and with love. Young love the joys and the mistakes, are show all in choices and maturing through them. The audio by Abilgail was good, had a clear voice, and was enjoyable to listen to her and added to the story. Both were well done, and definitely worth reading and listening to.
