decent story but not my favorite narration

This isn't long but I don't think I'm going to finish it. The story is interesting enough but the narration doesn't work for me. She tends to overemphasize consonants that it's starting to get to me. That and the female vocals during the sex scenes are too much for me. There is no vocalization from the male characters. Though, I suppose that mainly has to do with the writing. But whenever the male lead talks it's fairly understated and when the female lead says anything during a sex scene, she yells like a porn star.

Steamy scenes with a decent story

A+ when it comes to the streamy scenes. Nora Ash does such a good job with her scenes. The story on this one was okay, I think Feral's Story was better but would still listen again.

Dark and steamy with a bit of danger thrown in

If you like a dark and steamy romance with lots of mystery and danger thrown in, then this book is definitely for you. Nora Ash has written a fast paced and thrilling story set in the Omegaverse universe. It grabs you right off the bat and keeps you wondering what will happen next. It tells the tale of Peter (an alpha politician) and Leigh (a feisty journalist) and how their lives collide. Their connection is unexpected and overpowering, even if they don’t understand it at first. Their journey will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Melissa Moran is a new to me narrator. While I really liked the sound of her voice, I admit that there were times when I wished that she would have had more inflection in her tone when describing the events that were taking place. I thought she was great when it came to the dialogue between characters, though.

I needed this!

I read the earlier version of this audio book, no disrespect to the narrator of the previous versions, but I much appreciate the expressiveness of this narrator.

As for the book itself, I love Nora Ash so much. I am willing to read and hear her series over and over again. This is one of the series where I think, if was to stop end now, I would be happy with the outcome.

Good story

I’m starting to love the omega verse stories. Little confused with the ending epilogue. On to the next book.

So Hot and INTENSE!!!

Melissa Moran's performance is amazing! I loved listening to this series when it first came out in three parts (I actually read it first), but hearing the story again makes me realize what an interesting world Nora Ash has created. Now I want the other stories from this world again!

Alpha series

I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. I also purchased the Ebooks to read as well.
Let me start by saying that this is not normally the type of story I would read or listen to, but I wanted to give it a try. The story itself was well-written. Although the beginning part had me a little confused with the initial opening sequence, almost like maybe I had missed something. It does all get explained eventually as you go further into the book. Leigh came across as very indecisive to me. One minute she's mad and the next she's fine with whatever is going down. It was like she was going to war with her biology and her mind at the same time. Maybe that was the point of it. Peter was just way too much alpha for me. Rather than sexy everything just came across as painful rather than full of pleasure and I just wasn't into those dynamics.
As for the narration, the narrator had a nice voice but seemed to over ennunciate as she spoke. Her tone didn't seem to change much throughout the narration which made it come across as a little boring and more like it was just being read rather than being performed.

Engaging and Enraging. 🔥🔥🔥

While the narrator's consonants seem a little harsh at times, I enjoyed the clarity and slight pitch change for characters.
The story engaged AND enraged me, along with several other emotions. I love Nora Ash, and this story was awesome!

Hot Omegaverse Series!

This boxed set includes the three installments previously published in the Omegaverse serial Alpha: Alpha:Taken, Alpha:Masquerade, and Alpha:Mated. This is an incredibly hot Omegaverse Series. You definitely should listen to this audiobook with an ear bud. Peter and Leigh are great characters. Peter is a politician, alpha, powerful, dominant, and protective. Leigh is a strong omega, supportive, and determined. The storyline is suspenseful, and is as raw as expected in an omegaverse romance. I liked the previous version narrated by Thurlow Holmes, and I like this new one. Melissa Moran did a wonderful job with the narration. Looking forward for more books in this suspenseful and sizzling hot world. If you like omegaverse romance, you will love this one. If this is your first omegaverse romance, be warned, this is not your usual romance, and you have to keep an open mind with this kink/fantasy trope. I love Nora Ash original and sizzling writing.
