I may be wrong but I believe that this is Lauren Blakely’s first MM romance and in my opinion, she knocked this one out of the rink.  What a fantastic story she wove and I was totally engrossed from the first to the last page, I couldn’t put it down.   
 
If you are looking for a steamy and at times emotional read then A Guy Walks Into My Bar is the book for you.  As I have come to expect from Ms. Blakely, the story was funny with characters you cannot help but fall for and whose story I was fully invested in.  However having said that, there were times that this was emotional and that added an additional layer to the story. 
 
I laughed so much with the humour and banter between Fitz and Dean, they are characters who are just so fabulous that you want to be their friends.   Individually these characters were awesome but together they soared. I loved Fitz when he was first introduced in previous books and all this book has done has cemented how much I adore him. The secondary characters were engaging and entertaining and really did the book justice.  
 
Their attraction to one another is almost instant and so scorchingly hot that it is overwhelming.   Both need to do some serious soul searching, as they realize that there could be repercussions if they are to follow their hearts. What will happen when their passion ignites? Will it destroy them or will it burn bright? Can they make their love work or are they destined to be torn apart by circumstances? 
This book had me laughing and smiling throughout and is one I thoroughly enjoyed.  This is a fun romantic comedy, it’s a story of finding love  least expect it,  of taking a leap of faith and finding your soul mate, even if he lives on the other side of the world. 
 
The narrators did an outstanding job and I loved this version even more than the book.

All kinds of fantastic!

LB is queen of romance for a reason and she definitely delivers here. Joe + Shane are a cherry on top of an awesome story. I loved the full cast duet narration. The chemistry between the characters is so good you can feel it in your bones. Very enjoyable dialogue, humor, passion. Fitz and Dean are extremely mature and they made me want to be friends with them. Most of all, I love how others of Lauren’s characters weave into other stories so you either get a glimpse onto the future or past for those couples. Thoroughly enjoyable

One of my all time favorites!

I absolutely love Dean and Fitz, from the flirtation, conversation and the steamy sex. I haven't listened to many MM books but this one grabs you from the start. They both have strong personalities and have so much in common. But loving their relationship and seeing it grow was only part of the reason I loved it. I loved the background characters and absolutely fell in love with duet narration and a full supporting cast. Everyone should read this! I fu*king loved it! That is all.

The story is well written, the characters are wonderful, Dean & Fitz’s love is so very tangible.

Shane & Joe did a phenomenal job! Definitely my all time favorite audio EVER! I listened to this through my escape package and then ran right back to buy it so I’ll always have it.

I love this book! I borrowed it through Audible Escape and listened to it several times. I loved it so much I bought it.
Shane East as Dean and Joe Arden as Fitz are perfect! I felt like I knew these characters, like I could go into that bar or any of the places they went to and run into them there, that Fitz really plays for the NY NHL team. Is it weird that a hetero female thinks that an MM romance is one of her favorite romance listens of all time? Kudos to Lauren Blakely and the entire production team!
