Love small towns and miscommunication!

Officer Thad Wagner has a new neighbor...and word on the street is rather confusing, is she straight or gay? In a relationship or single? Thad’s interested but miscommunication and nosey ppl may get in the way. Casey Lowe is running from a scandal and thinks that the small town is perfect for her new life. She finds her neighbor attractive but he’s spoken for, right? She doesn’t do cheats so she will batten down her heart! When her past catches up with her, will Thad come to her rescue or believe the worst?
Cute story with a good mix of humor and drama.

Cute Read

Cute little read.. First book I’ve read from the author and I was into it. No spice but the plot was good.

miscommunicate trope

if you cannot stand the miscommunication trope, this book is not for you. also, the story was predictable and I found myself skipping ahead and rolling my eyes a lot.

A story about wrong assumptions

This is the first audiobook in the series that takes place in the town of Celebration.
Casey Lowe has moved to Celebration with the intend of leaving her past behind . In need of a new beginning she takes a job as a nurse in the local hospital.
Thad Wagner is not only her handsome neighbor, but also a police officer. Assumptions and misinterpretations finds Casey believing he’s a married man, and him thinking she might be a lesbian.
As they fight their attraction and consider just being friends, someone from Casey’s past makes an appearance. One that could endanger everyone involved.
This was a fast moving story with some humor thrown in at times and the realization that what you assume is not always the truth.
Looking forward to more stories in the series.

small town love, lust, and miscommunication

If you like Hallmark movies like I do, you will like this series of books. All are individual stories (centered on holidays) but the characters carry over from book to book so you will get to find out what is happening to each character over the course of the year . There are cross references but Stacy tries to let you know what happened. So expect a lot of noisy neighbors, a little mystery, and a lot of miscommunication.
This is the starting point for the series, it introduces the major characters (either outright or overtly) of the series. This one is about lust at first sight and what happens when you assume something and don't ask questions. I liked the characters and the story was fun to see play out. As I said if you like a little Hallmark like Rom Com, definity give it a try. The narration was very great. I received this book for review and these are my honest thoughts on it.

Enjoyable Easy listen

So far I’ve loved every book I’ve read by Stacy Eaton; this one is no different. It’s a fast, entertaining listen. I can’t wait for the rest of the series to find out what happens to everyone in this town. Narration was good but not my favorite. I received a review copy at my request and voluntarily reviewed.

4 Stars

Thad & Casey

Casey moved to Celebration for a new start. Having Thad and the town try to set them up is confusing her, as she believes he is married.

Good Story...Excellent Narration

I've become a big fan of Stacy Eaton's writing. She has an excellent way of filling her stories with real emotions and very real characters. For the most part, I enjoyed this story and I'm looking forward to more in the series. The one thing I didn't like was the way Casey handled situations. The story is based on the lack of communication and misunderstandings, but the way Casey's emotions turned on a dime made me dislike her character. I really enjoyed Yvonne Cude's narration, which kept me engaged in the story throughout.

Short and cute with à Little suspense

The narrator was good. I like stacy Eaton's books, i've listened to several of them
This one does not have the steam some of her others have. But it was still a good listen.
