Publisher's summary

Dmitri, a werewolf and thief for hire, finds his true mate under the worst possible circumstances - at 35,000 feet.

Dmitri, a high-end thief, is flying cross-country for a lucrative job, when the woman destined to be his mate is seated next to him. Her scent drives him to the edge, but he manages to control himself on the flight by the skin on his teeth and fate - by way of the flight being diverted because of a terrible storm.

Nina isn’t sure why she’s trying so hard to get home in time for her sister’s wedding, given that the groom is her ex. But indulging in an affair with the aggressive and attractive man who has come to her rescue brings worse problems to her table. It’s just supposed to be a fling, but Dmitri clearly has no intention of leaving - ever.

When Dmitri’s new employer turns out to be Nina’s ex’s father, the line he spent a lifetime blurring becomes crystal clear. Unfortunately, by the time he realizes this, it may be too late to save his mate.

Shifter Fated Mate Fun

I've listened to several books by this author in her Singular Obsession series and its spin-off, Rogues and Rescuers, but this is the first paranormal book of hers I've listened to. I love a good, well-written paranormal romance every now and then, and I thought she did an excellent job with this one. One part of paranormal romance that's always fun is the fated mates aspect, and this male shifter was not prepared to meet his mate on a cross-country flight. But things don't go quite right on their journey, and they have some forced time together, which of course, is always good fun! Even though it was peripheral, I enjoyed how the author tied this book into the larger world of the other series by having part of it take place at the hotel featured prominently in those books, owned by some of the men in the Singular Obsession series. The hero is an intriguing character with a very offbeat, highly specialized job, a high-end thief who usually only steals to restore something to its rightful owner. I wasn't wild about his assistant, as she wasn't as supportive as secondary characters usually are. The wedding that the heroine is trying to get to will not be easy or simple for her, and I love how supportive the hero is of her. Such chemistry between the two of them … and the steam was excellent and character-driven (which I love). If you enjoy a well-written, steamy paranormal romance like I do, check out this book or audiobook; I doubt you'll be disappointed!

Good story, narration doesn't fit the characters

I really enjoyed this story. Although I wish I would have read the ebook instead of listening to it. I like Addison Barnes as a narrator. She brings life into the story. The problem here is that the hero is Russian but there was no Russian accent. The heroine even commented on how thick his accent was. The author should have found a narrator who could do a Russian accent. It was hard to get lost in the story when I knew the voice didn't match the character.

Like I said the story itself is good. I liked the characters. I liked the drama and the romance was hot.. would have been even hotter with a Russian accent. But if that is something that doesn't bother you, then I recommend this book. Because other than the lack of accent the narration was good.

Fate steps in

I really enjoyed this short but sweet story about Demitri and Nina. There were so many times I was on the edge of my seat because of the suspense and drama that surrounded Nina that I finished the book before I even realized it was over. I hope to see more of Demitri and Nina in the future.

Eat You Up

Loved Dimitri! I wish the story was more paranormal and wolf related. The story was really good but felt like some parts had too much storytelling. Especially about the collar. Overall a good story and narration was really good!

Love Dmitri

This book was so good! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Dmitri, a werewolf and thief, meets Nina, a doctor, on a plane when he is forced to sit in coach. She is his seat mate. The plane ends up being diverted due to extremely bad weather and they end up together. This is the beginning of their smexy story. Nina’s sister was marrying Nina’s ex and she had to go to the wedding. I loved when Dmitri showed up. He just took over everything and everyone with his commanding presence. Dmitri has what can be a very dangerous occupation even though he poses as an air marshal complete with gun and badge when he tells Nina his job. I love how Nina reacted when she found out he was a wolf but not the circumstances. The pace of this book is great. This book was so good that I wanted to listen in one sitting but that was not possible. I really enjoy Lucy Leroux’s writing style. I highly recommend this book.

Addison Barnes did a great job with the narration. She nailed Dmitri. I could just imagine the tall, well-built hunk of a man/werewolf. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Wow. Just wow.

I have no words. At least none that are more descriptive than: wow. I don’t think it was all that long ago that I last visited this world, but boy did I miss it. However, it’s been long enough that I didn’t even realize that I’d met Dmitri before. But that’s okay, because we get very up close and personal with him here. He is all ALPHA, and a lone wolf to boot. He’s completely blindsided to meet his match. Nina is the perfect partner for him. A bit of a loner herself, she’s got a spine of purified adamantine, which means she more than capable of holding her own when Dmitri starts getting overprotective. I loved the blend of science and magic in this book. It adds a whole new dimension of possibility to the world around us. And the way this story ties in several of the author’s other series is so much fun.
