A great refresher

As my daughter will be getting her period soon, I purchased this book to update my knowledge about the menstrual cycle. This book came across as very matter-of-fact and did not hold any punches. I really appreciated that. I liked how the information was delivered. So much so I'm going to have my daughter listen to it. I do not want her to be embarrassed or shocked when she gets her period. The book has a positive tone throughout which is very refreshing. A great book for men to read as well should they want to learn more

Must read owner's handbook for all women!

I wish I would have read this years ago, but so glad to have finally found it. Hormones have been wreaking havoc on my body, but I didn't realize it was due to hormones. I will be gifting this to all the women I know. Highly recommend!

This is a must have for all women !

I enjoyed following along and debunking myths about my period. I really wish I had this book when I was younger, Periods should not be so Taboo. I think any mom should let their daughters approaching puberty listen to this.

so many facts.

Learn so much about pregnancy planing, ive been tru a lot with my girlfriend and we want to wait to having kids, the IUD was surprising to learn this method for prevention as well as the injections available as a treatment.
I like that is a step by step guide so the book will tell you what to spec and what to do while going to a new treatment, learning that this treatment can affect liver functions makes lots of sense since she was experiencing that.
definitely a great resource.

The Mysteries of Hormones

This book addresses the questions you've always been afraid to ask. Periods are the topic of so much misinformation that even those who have gone through them might be puzzled at times. This book helps people to simplify and manage what may be a tough and unpleasant time in their lives. I gained a lot of knowledge and wish I had known some of it when I was younger. I'm now aware of how our current method of birth control affects our periods and hormones.

informative

good to know different options, products and their uses that are available in the market. and some advantages and adverse effects of the products. and even practices in other culture/countries. which causes sufferings in others. :(

there are some “commercials” or “plugs” in between chapters which are not much my liking.

great narration too. clear. good pace and intonations.

overall, it’s informative.
