An authority on wolves, veterinarian Dr. Madeline Styles is hired to stop a disease killing the wolf pups at the Shadow of the Moon Wolf Sanctuary in Montana. Wyatt Weylan, who runs the sanctuary, is drop dead gorgeous, mysterious, and domineering. A man one does not deny.

The minute Wyatt sees Madeline, he is smitten - no - obsessed. Unfortunately, he is forbidden to mate a human. Could she be a rare wolf maiden? A woman with the mark of the wolf? Not possible.

Madeline discovers the pack’s true nature and unexpected dangers that come with living in a secret society. Wyatt does his best to ease her into the truth, yet an immediate threat from an enemy werewolf shadows their tentative relationship.

Great Story!

This is the first book in the Wolf Maiden Saga, a Paranormal Romance. The characters are great. The story has an interesting world building. The storyline is fast-paced, action packed, and intriguing, filled with twists and turns, and mystery. J. B. Burgess did a good job with the narration. Great story!

This was a very interesting and creative story. The characters were well developed and the storyline kept me interested from start to finish. I wasn't a huge fan of the narrator. "I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review."

Wolves With A Difference

This is the first book in what promises to be an enjoyable and engrossing series. The storyline is well-plotted and well-written and tells the story of Wyatt Weylyn who was a member of a black ops team comprised of six wolf shifters. He and his team were dropped by helicopter in a remote area of Afghanistan. Their mission to rescue Colin Taylor, the son of billionaire industrialist, Randal Taylor who had taken part in a goodwill mission to supply medicines. He was captured by the Taliban when his plane was shot down. He's the only survivor, the crew having been beheaded a fate which will befall Colin if their demands for weapons and missiles are not met. They have undertaken this almost impossible mission as they need a large sum of money to hire a research veterinarian to find a cure for an unknown disease that is affecting their wolf pups.

Madeline Styles has worked all over trying to save wolves, she has become a specialist in the field of wolf diseases. Whilst speaking at a conference she received an email offering her $1million to undertake a six-month study of a wolf virus affecting pups. She thought it was a joke at first but upon checking the registered attendees she discovered that Wyatt Weylyn was indeed a real person making a genuine offer which embarrassed her no end as she had sent an inappropriate reply to the email.

She and Wyatt met and he assured Maddie that he understood her response about his offer being a joke, but assured her that he did need her help. After their meeting, her car got a flat tire and some men dragged her from her car, luckily for her, she had already called Wyatt who arrived in time to save her. But some tears in her clothing allowed him to see that she bore the wolf mark. She was a wolf maiden, something very rare, a human he could mate with who could have his children.

There is so much more to this story but that would involve my giving out too many spoilers which I refuse to do. What I will say is that the author has done a great job with the storyline and with the characters these wolves are different from other wolf shifters I have read about before. The world-building and descriptive writing make this a book I could not stop listening to. I will definitely listen to the rest of the series when it is available.

The narration was really well done, the narrator managed to convey just the right amount of feeling and individuality to the characters.

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

Shifter Romance

Werewolf Sanctuary by Eva Gordon is a good shifter romance with a great introduction to the various types of shifters and werewolves. I learned some details I never knew about this genre. The storyline was good and full of action. The descriptions were vibrant. J.B. Burgess performed this book quite well. He added the right emotions and brought the characters to life. Story was good (some spoilers)

I really enjoyed this one. It wasn't anything exceptional... man meets woman he's destined to be with, enemy captures woman, man defeats enemy. Of course there are many conflicts and resolutions between. There wasn't much angst in this one (which I was glad of), so it was a very comfortable but still interesting listen. The only thing I would change would be a couple of the voices. This narrator had a hard time differentiating so many characters, and some of the females sounded totally male.

Wyatt

I have read most of Eva Gordon's books, so it was neat getting to listen to one of the books. The narration offers a different perspective through tone and inflection.

Wyatt is forbidden to mate with a human... that is unless she happens to be a werewolf maiden. What are the odds that Maddie is one if these elusive maidens?!

There is nothing better than a soal mate!

I enjoyed this story very much! The beginning with explanations was a bit much, but needed to follow the story. I love it when love conquers all!

Alpha Intensity

Listening to the audio after reading the book made this story come alive. The intensity of feeling and action is so much more real. The narrator was really good with the gruff Alpha voices and inflection, the feminine pitch needs a bit of work but still very enjoyable
