Weird

Paul David Tripp is a wonderful poet. But the audio reading of this book attempts to follow the formatting of the poems by stressing single words that would normally be one line on a poem. It just ends up being a clunky distracting experience. I will definitely purchase the print version. Maybe the audio would sound good if it was paired with the words on a YouTube lyric video, where the words appear at the same time the narrator stresses that particular word. But when I am listening to it as I am on a walk or raking leaves, it just sounds weird the way he is reading it because of his desire to stress the words that are written on a single line in trips poems. I just couldn't get over it. So I had to get a refund. This review is in no way against trips poetry skills. I personally think that this is a very hard task for any narrator to translate into an audio experience.
