Characters you feel are real

I fall in love with all of these characters from the Mackenzie series. I enjoyed this story but wish it was a bit longer with more relationship building between the H/H.

Never review so please read.

As I said above I have never left a review, and honestly I do depend on them to choose books. I am an addicted audible girl especially Scottish romances. Sadly I am a European mutt with no Scottish ties except visiting is on my bucket list. This whole series is just phenomenal. Author and narrator for ALL of the series. I did alternate with other books as I got deeper into the series to not burn out and it didn’t even matter. I have left series to return and have not but not this series! As angry as I am that it is over, I am so warm and content.
I know, what men could all be the “ bad boys gone good” but that is what we want right? I e been duped by the slick tongued and those who easily lie, so the Makenzies and McBrides are the hope I have always had. I know it’s a story but the characters will become so familiar for you too. I stumbled upon Jennifer Ashley by accident and Angela Dawes I’ve liked before. But honestly I am already missing the clan already. I want to be these women. I want to meet a man just like them. I can see it all as I listen. As I embark on the last story, a short Yuletide yarn I am sad it’s over but so happy I found this series.
I love a good amount of tension and sex but these characters on top of that are forever engrained in my mind. Though the worst part is that. I am still holding out for “Scottish Charming”. As my ex husband would never ever compare. I am even starting to believe I have never really been taken to that high I always hear about. Or even treated as the one deserving of pleasure first. That I should be adored and loved and receiving g pleasure as I give. I always question do any of these men exist? It is just a story like Prince Charming. But the way these are written and narrated it doesn’t matter. After my marriage I realize fairy tales are just that and damn my mother for the fantasies but I could be Beth or Ansley or Sophie and for some reason these stories help me believe I can be and that I am deserving of it. Sadly the question is do or could these men really exist irl? But they do in this series. I know they are all tied up with a bow and men today, well, let’s just say I could never trust them but maybe, maybe one day I will be proven wrong. Hopefully with a kilt to wrap around me.
I hope this make some sense, but the bottom line is, in the world of these books, I truly wish I was a part of this series. I have never ever felt so attached. Enjoy!

Perfection!!

This is simply the most delicious performance of a perfect story! Ms Ashley’s characters steal your heart and sweep you up in their stories with their charm, laughter, and emotion. The narration could not be any better: every character is portrayed so beautifully, you can practically see them before your eyes. All Jennifer Ashley’s work is excellent, but this story, these characters, are something extraordinary.

I love, love, love this series!

Jennifer Ashley creates yet another hit in this brilliantly written story. The story is read by the enchanted story telling skill of Angels Dawe. I simply can't get enough of the Mackenzie clan and hope for another story with Ian in a starring role. This story was pure pleasure from start to finish and I was beguiled by David and his self deprecating charm and Sophie was so easy to like. Jennifer eloquently sets a stage you'll love and characters you wish you had more of. A fantastic series I hope to keep enjoying!

Love the Mackenzies

I love this series and will always look forward to the next installment. David Fleming's story is a nice one, but at times it felt like something was missing in the story. Some of the supporting characters weren't developed enough to get a full picture of who they are. When I listen to a book I am able to see the characters, landscape and situations in my mind's eye, but with this book it was a little hard. I probably need to listen again, which I will because I love the Mackenzies.

Mackenzie series

I really been enjoying the MacKenzie series starting with Ian. This one is about Hart’s right hand hand, David Fleming who is also a distant cousin. The story is ok.. likable H/HH and more likable uncle. Somehow, it just not up to scratch like the others.
Most enjoyable book in this series is Ian, Cameron & Will for me. I like Malcom’s story too but got really disappointed knowing how he treated his son Ian.

He narrator did good job playing both sex.
