Several LOLs

Nobody Tells Lia Anything is a must listen if you enjoy a good light paranormal chick lit. The cast of characters are great fun with Lia and Granana leading the way. I got strange looks from time to time when laughing out loud at their antics.

Funny

This book was funny and engaging. I am not usually into books with hauntings but this meddlesome ghost is a hoot.

Very entertaining

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next one in the series. This book has a little bit of everything; comedy, romance, mystery, paranormal. The narration was superb and kept me engaged. If you're like me you may get a little irritated with the lead female character for being so trusting but it doesn't take away from the story at all. I saw others found the book a tad too long but I never felt like it was long or drawn out. Well done Carol and Rosie!

Just loved it!

Oh, what a crazy ride this book was! Lia's life is turned up-side-down because of her late granma's will. She moves into her granny's apartment complex believing she has to be its manager, but her dear granny had other plans in mind! Even from the beyond, she plays matchmaker, trying to persuade her to give up her current boyfriend Jason and fix her up with Logan, the hot bartender and resident of the apartment complex.

Needless to say, the residents of the apartment complex is an assortment of eccentric characters, while Lia is prone to crazy accidents, involving Long Island Teas, raccoons and mud, to name a few. Not to mention that everybody has something to hide, starting with her boyfriend.

The book is full of humor, crazy antics, and yet deep emotional moments. One moment I laughed out loud, while the next I cried as I felt the emotional turmoil Lia was in. While some will claim that Lia was trully stupid in trying to save her relationship with Jason, I can't help but sympathize with her. She's invested too many years of her life in a relationship and she feels that she has to try and salvage it. But the heart wants what the heart wants, and with a little help from the spirit realm everything comes full circle and questions are answered.

This was my first book by Carol and it really hooked me! I read it in one sitting and I can't wait for the next book in the series!!!

As far as the audiobook goes, I loved the narrator. I hope she narrates Carol's next book as well.

I was given the opportunity to review a copy of the book, NTLA back in the Spring and loved it. I am such a fan I mentally twerked like a twenty-something instead of like the *cough-something I actually am, when I learned other members of Pentagon Place have stories itching inside Carol Maloney Scott's brain.

So when CMS presented a promo of the audio for NTLA, I jumped! I was like a kid at Christmas and couldn't wait to hear from Lia again along with the misfit community of PP, and of course, Granana.

The narrator did a great job, but unlike the book, sometimes you didn't know what Lia was saying out loud or thinking and muttering to herself. A lot of that was my most favorite part. However, that is NOT the narrator's fault. I mean, it isn't like she could pause while reading and say, "okay, Sharonica, this bit is italicized," although that would be cool AF. Just sayin'!😂

It was fun, made me giggle, cringe, eye roll, nod in understanding, and feel indignant at all the appropriate times (you will understand when you read/listen).

Surprisingly engaging.

Never saw the twists and turns of the plot before the ending. it was good listening to and enjoying the story.

Keeps You Interested, but a Little Long

If you're looking for a light, easy read this one fits that criteria. It's entertaining and keeps you interested enough to read to the end so you can find out what Jason is hiding, although I did think it dragged on a little longer then needed and felt the ending could have used a little bit more...but other then that, I did enjoy it.

Fun and funny bit of fluff

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked this book up, but I got an enjoyable, gossipy bit of fun. The ghost was a ton of fun and it was a great, wacky cast. I got a little tired with her wishy washing over a certain decision it was clear she needed to make. But that was my only complaint. It was clean and fun and I would easily recommend it.

Yes I laughed out loud

Oh my goodness ‼️. I definitely laughed out loud, snorted, etc and was glad I was alone in my vehicle😂😂. I enjoyed this book tremendously.

Subgenre mashup!

I was drawn to this book because of the title. It is exactly what it implies!: RomCom, paranormal, and chick lit. It's a light-hearted, fun story about Lia, who ACTUALLY never really knows what is going on. She is always left out of the loop and as a result finds herself in some strange situations. Meanwhile, paranormal happenings help guide her along as well as make for some funny dialogue.

I was a bit skeptical about the narrator at the beginning but as the story progressed and new characters were introduced, Rosie O'Toole really made the story an enjoyable listen. I did have a few LOL moments. Cute story!
