Publisher's summary

Since she was 14, singer Sophie James has been an international superstar. With her career (and life) directed by her manager, Ray, she hasn’t had to worry about a thing for more than a decade...not where she goes, not what she sings, not who she is. But when Ray has a heart attack, Sophie is left without the only real father figure she’s ever known and questioning everything she believes about what’s important to her.

Enter Dana Landon, the new manager sent by Sophie’s record company. Dana is gorgeous, sophisticated, and ready to do her job keeping Sophie’s career on track, and making the record company money. Dana captures Sophie’s attention in ways Sophie never expected and isn’t ready for, but after so many years of being told what to do, Sophie’s ready to shake things up with some ideas of her own. Ones Dana hasn’t been planning on and isn’t at all sure she likes.

Nice!

I just liked the book, a lot! The narration by Lori Prince is simply stellar! She can always make the most incredible changes to the voces of the characters. The description of the scenes, make you feel right there.Sofi and Dana make a lot of decisions to be able to be together. The intimate scenes where simply engaging, deep, and tastefully described. You can feel their chemistry thought each part of the book. Highly recommended

Loss opens you to the life ahead and within.

I received this as an ebook in a give away. I enjoyed it so much I wanted to have the audible. Lori Prince does a spectacular job bringing the characters to life. Georgia Beers has given a saucy, coming of age story that gives hope to hear your heart at any age. I loved how Sophie and Dana connected and held each other. Beautifully written, magnificently told and a must have in my library!

Captivating Coming of Age

In losing her manager, Sophie James has lost her paternal anchor. Georgia Beers weaves a masterful tale of the disconsolate child coming of age, blossoming into her own voice.

Many things Georgia Beers nails: family dynamics; creative obsession; self doubt. Such an amazing journey with sorrow, joy, music, laughter, and a perfect ending.

If one needs everything spelled out, this may not be a story fit. But if one enjoys the subtle reveals, the tentative steps, the overcoming of fears to build a new life and embrace new love, Fear of Falling rewards abundantly .

This is my favorite Georgia Beers thus far!

Excellent audio.

I loved Fear of Falling. It's a great story. Be true to yourself and honest with yourself and others. You will succeed. Lori Prince does an excellent job with the narration.

Best Yet!

I love Georgia Beers' books, but sometimes it hurts to go through the dips in the story. The parts where it seems it just can't have a happy ending. Fear of Falling is up all the way. I cried at the end. I wish I could hear the song.

Fantastic

I loved this one, especially the world building of the celebrity-singer's life. I've listened to several Georgia Beers' books with the Audible Escape package, but used a credit for this one. Well worth it! I'd love a sequel...

OMG = I love Georgia Beers Stories

I love Georgia Beers Stories and the performance was beyond amazing. The whole book left me lifted up, knocked down, and then lifted back up as the ending creating a tear fest while I was driving. I had to stop driving and just take it in. The song Fear of Falling stabbed my heart. This is my favorite Georgia Beers book thus far.

Georgia Beers does it again

Once again Georgia Beers takes a long popular premise of a celebrity love story but the story focused on the strong personalities of these 2 ladies. One is coming into her own and the other trying to get her feet back under her after a breakup. She even does a good job of not making the ex look like a total a**hole. And Lori Prince did a wonderful job of bringing these characters to life with her great story telling and inflections.
Would absolutely recommend.

Finally

This is the first lesbian romance that I’ve Really liked in a while. (And I listen to them very frequently). So that’s saying something!
