This is a short exciting listen.


Bridgett is enjoying a wonderful summer as the nanny for an adorable little boy. As time passes she and Chris the landscaper begin a romance. One evening when the parents are out, everything changes. Fast pace, full of action this thriller novella will keep the listener on edge. It is pretty graphic, so if you are offended by blood and mayhem it may not be for you.



The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Veronica Pace brought the story to life.

Great Read

The Summer Nanny: An Emerald City Thriller Novella was a great read by Audrey J. Cole. Bridgett has been enjoying her summer job as a nanny for a famous actor. She is very generously compensated but also has a strong bond with the little boy. She has also fallen for Chris, a landscaper on the property. On the Fourth of July, her boss’ hold a major charity event. While Bridgett is working that night, a masked intruder breaks into the home. She will do anything that she can to save the baby. I enjoyed reading this and can’t wait to read more by Audrey J. Cole.

Short But Thrilling Ride!

The Summer Nanny is a fast paced exciting thrill ride that pulls you in from the beginning and doesn't let you go until the end. Fantastic narration by Veronica Pace adds to the experience for the listener. If you have just a little bit of time to devote to a great audiobook, this one won't take long, and won't disappoint!

This a fast paced fun short story. The narration is nice and easy to listen to. I did feel a bit lost at times since this was my first book in the series An Emerald City. I also felt that a bit more back story could have been added. Overall great plot and defiantly worth a listen.

Great Addition to the Series!

This is the third book in the Emerald City series. This short novella is well written, and suspenseful. The storyline is captivating, filled with unpredictable twists and turns. Veronica Pace did a fantastic job with the narration. Looking forward to listening to Viable Hostage, the next book in the series.

Fast paced thriller with a twist

Bridgett, a nanny to wealthy family's son, gets caught up in a suspenseful situation as the boy she is looking after gets taken hostage in order for her to retrieve a treasure from the house he lives in.

The story developed quickly and well. It was realistic and intriguing and i was excited to hear it till the end. It had a very interesting twist, i quite liked it!

The narrator had an excellent tone in her voice perfect for the suspenseful and tension building theme.

I highly recommend this book, it is thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable!

The Summer Nanny was short but it was full of danger and suspense with lots of twists and turns. I have loved every book in this series and highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good thriller. Veronica Pace did a great job bringing this story to life. I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

I am really enjoying this series! I love the writing style and the narration is excellent. I am not usually a fan of novellas. I always feel like I need more than these little short stories can provide. Not the case here. But I am glad that the next book in the series is a full sized one!
