Don't brush this book aside

I love H.Y. Hanna's books and this is the first book I read in this series and when I finished it I had to start at the begining with book one and work my way through them all. So when this book came out as an audio book I jumped at the chance add it to my collection. So glad I did as I was right about enjoying it and I think I enjoyed it even more listening to it.
Strange going ons in Tillyhenge has the village divided with most people believing in the legends about A ghostly hound bring death to any who see it. After a number of deaths, fears seem to be right a demonic dog is stalking the village but when the victims autopsy revile poisoned chocolates, it's up to Caitlyn to solve the murder and the mysterious dog sightings before the village turns against her Grandmother, the village chocolatetear.

I love the recurring side characters that join in with the fun and the witch craft, that somehow never turns out quite how it was intended.
The narrator was good at all the voices, even the meowing and barking. Well you can't have a witch without a feline companion.
I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

This series gets better & better!

With each book in the series it gets even better! The characters really make this story so enjoyable; including all the side characters. It’s the perfect blend of cozy mystery with just a hint of magic. It’s not a creepy overdone magic, but more of a light charming and innocent magic. The narration is also fantastic, Pearl narrates all of HY Hanna’s books, and she’s fantastic at all the different voices!

Big Hairy Beast Visits Cotswolds Village

Bonbons and Broomsticks is the fifth installment in the charming cozy mystery series, Bewitched by Chocolate. This magical mystery series centers on American Caitlyn Le Fey who recently moved into the attic room of her grandmother’s chocolate shop in the small Cotswolds village of Tillyhenge.

This particular story starts only a week after the prior book (Blood, Sweets and Tears) ends with the village in a tizzy about sightings of a Black Shuck, a mythical ghostly hound that signals death to anyone who see it. After a couple of deaths, including one of the guests from a dinner party that Caitlyn attended, everyone fears the Black Shuck is stalking the village. However, once autopsies reveal that both victims were all poisoned by chocolates, Caitlyn is compelled to help solve the murder to prevent any villagers from suspecting her grandma. Along the way Caitlyn befriends a huge fury dog and a visiting professor who is researching mythical beasts, including the Black Shuck (whom he believes is misunderstood). She also finally confesses to Lord James that she’s a good witch; it only takes the entire book - and a few unbelievable transformations - to convince him.

Pearl Hewitt was simply wonderful narrating this audiobook version of this story. She narrates with such enthusiasm and aplomb that it’s impossible to stop listening when you pull into the driveway after a commute from work. Simply put, I highly recommend this story and the entire series to anyone who enjoys lighthearted cozy mysteries.

Enjoyable

Bonbons & Broomsticks, my tenth read/listen from author H.Y. Hanna. An enjoyable cozy mystery. I love the narrator’s British accent; I was impressed and enjoyed the vocal variety & inflections of narrator Pearl Hewitt, especially her oh so cute animal sounds & really enjoyed the read. Cozy mystery/romance, captivating primary character, what other blurbs can I use to describe these books? Oh well, buy the book, read the books, get into a good author and some good characters as I have. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. The best in the series so far

The characters continues to charm and evolve. The plot moves along quickly while still bringing the village and its surrounding area into sharper view. The mystery actually took a while to figure out (I normally am pretty quick)

Another great book in the series!

This is another great book in the Bewitched by Chocolate series and I absolutely loved it just as much as the others. The characters are well developed as well as the plot. There's plenty of twists, mystery, magic, comedy and a touch of romance.
I get a kick out of Viktor losing his teeth and the vibe of his character. I love all the characters and their unique qualities shine.
Again another great read by the narrator, she's done an excellent job at bringing the characters to life and making each one stand out. A good book and a good narrator really livens the story and makes it very enjoyable to listen.
I can not wait for the 6th book to come out! I really love this series and I haven't enjoyed a series this much since Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter.
I especially enjoy that this series is clean as in no massive violence or sexual content because this series just goes to show that you don't need all that to make a great story. The author is very talented and I really enjoy her writing.
Like I said, I can't wait for the 6th book to be released.
My favorite series!
