Publisher's summary

She'll do anything to free her sister and save the Earth from invasion, even if she's blackmailed into stealing sacred alien artifacts...and becomes the prey of the dark, deadly warrior sent to hunt her down.

Special Forces Space Marine Lara Traynor wants to save her sister and her planet from annihilation by the deadly insectoid Kantos. Earth's Space Corps give her one option: steal three gems sacred to the Eon Warriors. Lara has never failed a mission and she doesn't plan to start now. What she doesn't expect is the big, hard-bodied warrior the Eon sent to stop her.

Security Commander Caze Vann-Jad was born and raised to be the best Eon warrior in the empire. Honed by the military academy, his years as a stealth agent, and by his hard warrior father, he has never failed. He knows one weak, inferior Terran is no match for him. But when he finds himself face to face with the tough, skilled Lara, he realizes he's underestimated the female warrior.

When they are attacked by a Kantos kill squad, it soon becomes clear that the Kantos are planning something far darker and dangerous. Caze and Lara are forced to change their dangerous battle of wits and skill into a fierce battle for survival. Neither of these fighters believe in love, but on the trail of a stolen gem, they will ignite an unstoppable desire, and discover that not only are their lives at stake, but their hearts as well.

Just as great as the first one!

Great hero and heroine. She was a bad ass he was a bad ass. There was just so much bad assery going on.

The action is great and not overdone (even though there's nonstop action there's enough "breaks" to keep it from being overwhelming).

Great second book in series!

I’m really enjoying this Anna Hackett audiobook series! The heroine is a tough kick-ass soldier who is tasked by Earth Space Command to steal the three sacred gems of the Eon people. She’s pretty successful until she gets to the third gem and she’s caught by an Eon warrior who has been tracking her. They fight off a bunch of Kratos bug aliens and there’s a lot of action. They start to fall for each other and there are a couple hot sexy scenes. Great ending and can’t wait till the next book. Narration was excellent.

Book two was pretty good but but 1 was better however, it still made me cry. I dii get a little tired of her calling him hot stuff all the time.

Action, Adventure, Romance

This is a well written, fun, romantic romp. Worth the credit! If I have a complaint, it's that the leading lady skirts Mary Sue territory by being effortlessly good at everything, including fighting, flying alien spaceships, and reprograming alien replicators to make guac and chips. Having said that, where is the next book?! I WANT IT NOW!

The narrator Vivienne Leheny is fabulous

I love listening to audio books that have whisper sync. I have a lot of favorite narrators but Vivienne Leheny does so many male and female voices without error. Good narration makes listening to Special Forces Lara Traynor and Security Commander Cas Van-Jadd exploits as the battle for gems and battle against the Kantos. The variety and depth to the story is enhanced when I am listening then it assists my imagination when I go back to reading. I love the sisters dedication to each other and their gleeful approach to using the abilities they’ve gained by their parent’s sad loss. Just like the other science fiction series I am hooked.

Another winner

Anna Hackett is amazing at what she does! Fun, exciting, hot right from the beginning all the way to the end. The only part I don't like is when it's over!

Eon warrior book 2!

Love the idea of another Traynor sister getting the upper hand on a rugged Eon warrior like Caze. While sending Lara to steal from the Eon in order to gain attention from the higher ups is an ill conceived idea by the humans, Lara ends up holding her own and showing us all why we love to read all things Anna. Strong characters of either gender, well developed stories that complement each other with being dependent for each book to feel whole, and all the chemistry you could want.

Action packed

This book has so much ch action in it; not a dull moment anywhere; as far fetched as it was to have Lara besting Kaze was irrational; their interactions was interesting. I liked the back and forth and both being placed in difficult situations. The books have a familiar thread that keeps the storyline going; and is needed to keep building and expanding. Narrator does a good job with characters and sound affects. Keeps me listening to the series; not to mention the hot models of men of the cover!
