An Awesome Listen

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and found it uplifting. Destiny, a widow, raising her daughter with the help of her mother and brother is forced to realize her life is in a rut after forcing her best friend to go after her dream. But she still doesn't want to be forced into it. After making a new friend of a recent widower, she finds herself seriously thinking about going for it. The well written characters bring joy, humour and sadness to this very well written story. As the first story in this series, February flows so smoothly as it absorbs you. Once again author and narrator make an awesome team. Definitely looking forward to March.

February

Destiny is raising her daughter as a single mom, after her husband was killed in Afghanistan. She has put her dreams on the back burner as she works to give her daughter the best life possible. With some encouragement from some friends, maybe it’s time to pursue those dreams...

Such a heartwarming story by M. L. Hamilton. I love how the characters are so real and relatable. I really feel like I know them. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Kelley Hazan is an amazing narrator! It’s obvious she is very passionate about her work.

WOW!!!

February by ML Hamilton is so much more than I expected. The total self sacrifice the author has written is both heartwarming and gut-wrenching. The characters in this series are more dimensional than one would expect for the length of the book. I was so impressed with the performance by Kelley Hazen. She inflicted the right emotions that made this a truly emotional listen, and gives the individual characters their own voice. I loved how there are cameo appearances of some characters from the previous book in this one, yet it is a standalone listen. I wish I was more eloquent in writing this review, as this listen is fantastic. Destiny is an incredible character.

Great Read

February: The Year of Discover, Book Two was another great read by M.L. Hamilton. Destiny lost her husband when he was killed in Afghanistan and now had to raise their young daughter alone. She used to have a dream of being a singer, but she felt that dream died when her husband did. I loved reading about Destiny's journey of discovery and finding her way. I loved reading this book and can't wait to read more of this series by M.L. Hamilton.

a good listen

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

As with the first book, this was a good listen. This one had a lot of the good elements from the first one. It is a story of personal growth, inner strength, and loss. This one was a bit heart-wrenching but still good. I don't want to say too much and give anything away. Anyway, the narration is done well, and this is a series that is starting to suck me in a bit. On to the next one.
