Publisher's summary

When Rhys returned to his hometown, he thought he’d escaped his abusive cultist husband, but shortly after settling back into Oceanport, he discovers he’s pregnant - from his ex. Determined to give his baby a good life and to do it without his ex’s knowledge, Rhys needs a job. Luckily,
his brother’s wedding planner needs a manny. Which sounds perfect, until Rhys shows up for the interview and he realizes his new boss used to be his secret childhood crush.

Ethan spends his life planning everyone else’s happy ever afters - too bad he can’t make that work for his own life. He certainly never planned for his wife to walk out on him, or to end up the single father of two boys, yet somehow that’s where he’s found himself. But if it’s hard on him, it’s worse for his sons. Emotionally wounded, 3-year-old Caleb’s struggled in every daycare Ethan’s tried, and 12-year-old Nathan’s chased off every nanny Ethan’s hired in between. Ethan needs someone special, who can bridge the growing gap between him and the boys and make them whole again.

In Rhys, Ethan finally finds that someone. But as he watches Rhys slowly knit his family back together, he finds himself falling for the courageous young omega. Only, Rhys is still healing himself from his last relationship, and so is Ethan. It looks hopeless. But Rhys is done running, and Ethan has a plan - can they create their own happy ending from the ashes of their past?

Sweet & Tender

This is a really sweet romance and I'm so glad that Rhys gets his well deserved HEA. Ethan and Rhys are just super cute and perfect together and I love how open and willing Ethan is to accept Rhys' child. I really enjoyed watching Rhys bring Ethan and his sons together as they all work towards creating a wonderful family. The narrator did a great job with the story and I really like his character voices. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Music to my ears 😍

I love the Oceanport Omegas series! i almost forgot that Raphael is also from Oceanport and its sweet how Nathan started to like him. Anyway, I have read the book before and there is just something different when I hear it narrated. John Solo did a wonderful job bringing all the characters to life.

wonderful story

The Wedding Planner's Manny is book five in the Oceanport Omegas series by Ann-Katrin Byrde and like the previous books in the series, delivers a wonderful and we'll written story with loveable characters. Ethan is a loving Alpha that shows omega Rhys that not all Alphas are horrible lime his ex, and is willing to have a relationship with Rhys even though he carries another man's child. Rhys helps heal Ethan and his 2 sons from the scars of an ex's abandonment. Together they build a family. Definitely a recommended book.

Audiobook is narrated by John Solo. I loved how well the personalities shine through with each characters' personalized voice. It's easy to listen and lose yourself in the story. Fantastic job!

Very sweet

This was a great addition to the series! I thought the story was sweet. The exes were real jerks so I’m glad Rhys and Ethan found each other!! Narration was great!!

Have Your Back

Another great Oceanport story. Reese is recovering from his marriage and the mental games that were played. Ethan has his own past baggage. Both are kind of in a limbo between the past and present. But there is a past that goes back even further and that seems to open up more between them. Together they each have the strength to put there past behind them and move toward a future together. I like how Ethan has Reese's back without question. His willingness to be less than typical shows his real strength.

Sweet, healing story

This is my first book in the series, and I decided to dive right in rather than listen/read to the other books first as I've been on a nanny kick lately. While there was a large cast of characters and a few mentions of events in other books I didn't feel like I missed anything but jumping into this one. Though I will definitely be going back and listening to the whole series! The book was well written and my only gripe was how quickly the troubled Nathan went from terrorizing nanny's to trying to get the new "manny" into his dad's bed. Regardless it was still well done and I enjoyed the sweetness between the main cast of characters. As always John Solo does an amazing job.

the manny

I empathized with both main characters for theirs past baggage with their ex's. The ex's were users and manipulators. I likef when Ethan stood up for Rhys at the restaurant and then later told the truth about meddling Laura. I liked Rhys's growth too. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

A Low-Heat Love Story in Oceanport

Omega Rhys escapes a bad marriage (and a cult) and becomes a manny to wedding planner Ethan's two kids. Only Rhys is harboring secrets...he's pregnant with his ex's baby, and he's falling in love with his employer.

As with the other Oceanport Omega books, family, mpreg, and children are central to the story. In this case, it's Ethan's two sons plus Rhys's impending little arrival. Complicating matters are that Rhys and Ethan are both still married but separated from their spouses (so there's no real sense of cheating here).

There is some mild steam between Rhys and Ethan, but I'd say it's less heated than the previous books. Characters from those books also play a part in this story, including Rhys's twin Nick, so I'd recommend reading those beforehand.

Narrator John Solo delivers a good performance here overall. I liked his voice for Rhys, but not so much for Ethan...I found it too measured and clipped, which I'm assuming was intentional, but it didn't seem to fit the character for me. The female voices also leave much to be desired. [Performance: 3.5 Stars; Story: 3.5 Stars]
