Publisher's summary

Bryce Andrews, West Coast sales director for Global Distillers and Distribution, is tired of the corporate hamster wheel. She needs a change.

A craft-whisky trade show offers her inspiration and a chance to revisit Scotland and the majestic scenery of the Speyside region - best known for the “Whisky Trail”. Bryce and her coworker, Reggie Ballard, need to find a wholly original whisky for their international distribution division by visiting a number of small distillers.

A blind curve, a dangling sign, and a weed-choked driveway draw Bryce directly into a truly unique opportunity. She discovers a struggling family, a shuttered distillery, and a spitfire of a daughter called home to care for her confused father.

Fiona McDougall, the only child and heir to the MacDougall & Son legacy, had her career teaching in Edinburgh curtailed by fate...or serendipity.

When the stars finally align, the two women work together to resurrect a dream for themselves and the family business - if they can weather the storms of unscrupulous business practices in the competitive whisky market.

Wonderful! Just Wonderful!

Loved the story line. All of the the characters were refreshingly strong and vulnerable. Looking forward to listening to more from this author.

Excellent Audio!

I loved Highland Dew by Barrett Magill. WoW! What's not to like! Absolutely beautiful setting in Scotland. Beautiful, smart women working together. I loved the entire cast. Excellent story. Kamie Tierce did an excellent job with the narration.

Entertaining enough

It started out good but I had a hard time getting through the readers monotone delivery. I felt like the book drug on longer than necessary. I did appreciate the romantic build up between the main characters.

Whisky romance

Feel like this story is more about the love of whisky then of two people. The story is well written and the narrator isn’t to bad... though I felt like the accent was off. Still was a good listen. And it did make me want to try whisky one day. Lol

Drink the Dew

I haven't tried whisky but I might have to now. Great description and story telling. Now I need to go try some lady grey tea. Give this one a listen. You won't be disappointed.

You have to get used to the narrator

A different kind of story, it held your interest because of a twist in the story. All in all I enjoyed it once I got used to the narrator that sounded like she was reading a grocery list.

Little Romance, Hours of Whiskey Talk

I think my title sums up my feelings on this audiobook. I had high hopes. I was excited one character was from Scotland and the narrator did a good job with all voices, but... this was a long, drawn out book about an American in Scotland, searching for an unknown whiskey to sell in the US. Around chapter 35 the characters finally kissed and there was no fizzle. the sex scene was pg13 and left to your imagination. ehh not thrilled with this audiobook.

Excellent Story

From the reviews I've seen this is one of those books you either love or hate. I for one loved it. The story line was quite enjoyable, and the narrator did a nice job switching between multiple accents. Could have been a little more descriptive of the countryside. Would be grand to have a sequel.

Horrible narration!

The narration was horrible. I almost turned off the book but finally finished it. I wouldn't recommend it.
