Publisher's summary

A fallen hero reborn

Theo Taggart lost everything the night he died. His family, his beautiful Erin, and worst of all, he lost himself. A twisted doctor brought him back from the brink of death, but reprogrammed his identity to serve her will. Rescued by his brothers, he must fight to reclaim the man he was and the life, and love, that were stolen from him.

A love worth fighting for

Erin Argent thought she'd lost Theo forever. When he walked back into her life, it was nothing short of a miracle. Months of torture and conditioning at the hands of Dr. Hope McDonald have done damage to Theo that may never be mended. He has no memory of her or the life they shared. Breaking through to him, and helping him rediscover all he lost, will be the toughest mission she's ever faced. Luckily for Theo, Erin loves a good fight.

Their reunion under siege

Unfortunately, Hope is far from done with Theo Taggart. Obsessed with her prize experiment, she will do anything to get him back. If the only way to finally break him of his past life is to kill Erin and his son, then she's only too happy to oblige…

Great characters

I love that I can hear each person and know who is who. The accents on these characters keep me very on tune with the story.

Great Story Flawlessly Performed

Great story! I have been waiting to see how Theo and Erin’s story continued. How they can get through such unimaginable pain. I wasn’t disappointed.

Ryan did a great job. His performance of each character was flawless.

Story Dragged On Too Long! Narration Was Great!

I waited to get to the book where Theo and Erin were reunited. I listened to the audio book for SEVENTEEN HOURS. I REALLY wanted to like this book.

I was so unbelievably sick of this book. The back and forth about being worthy or not being worthy. The overwhelming guilt, the pity parties, etc. It was too much. The book went on forever. It is much harder to skim through an audio book, but had I had an ebook or paperback, I would have skimmed the majority of this book.

The narration was good, as usual. l know that there was romance, some steamy scenes, some action, and the usual Ian Taggert humor, but it was all overshadowed by the other crap.

The guilt, recriminations, arguments, etc. and all of that in the book went on entirely too long. This will probably be my last book of the series. It is too exhausting to get through one book.

There are characters that were introduced in other books and I want to know what happened to them, but every book seems to drag things out entirely too long. The turmoil is never ending.

Good but

I wanted to strangle Erin half the time. Felt she lacked compassion and understanding for the depth of Theo's trauma. Impatient gal.

Repetitive dialogue and overly long

Happy to finally have some resolution to this storyline and a movement forward with the Taggert to new stories with Lost Boys and CIA contacts. The narration was fair for Theo but annoying with Erin. They really need to introduce have dual narration for more depth of performance.

Exciting story

I love this series and the narrator did a great job bringing this story to life. I could not wait for Theo and Erin’s story and it was worth the wait. Theo and Erin had a lot of obstacles to overcome to reclaim their love and life together. What a thrilling ride and I’m looking forward to listening to more of this series in audiobooks.

Breath taking

Lexi Blake books keep getting better and better. The sense of family pulling together for one of their own is awesome. The D/s feels so real and not the the wrong representation that some who don’t really know the lifestyle try to show and get it wrong and twisted. Seeing these characters grow and evolve makes it impossible to put the book down or stop listening to it.

Way too much Angst

Erin is great, super tough, caring and smart. Theo is full of angst. I know, he was brain wiped and tortured but this book could have been 4 hours shorter if he hadn't gone the same long angst filled rants every other chapter. What if I hold by kid but don't love him. I want my girl but only for DS sex, everything else is too much for damaged guy like me. One afternoon with his infant and he magically grows up.
Sometimes less is more.
