can't follow its own logic

this story is all over the place I couldn't follow what the plot was bc it jumps to so many and the scene descriptions will leave you lost

Great book with lots of adventure!

Zam, Maks, and Lila are some of my favorite characters. I love the Shakespearen insults! This book is a nonstop adventure. I love seeing how each series connects in some way. Such an awesome story that you can't help loving the characters!

Lauren Fortgang is an amazing narrator and I love listening to her.

I love this audiobook series!! Lauren Fortgang does a fabulous job narrating this series. She’s a fabulous narrator that and allows the listener to get lost in the world that the author had created. Great world building!! Zam is the main character who keeps finding herself in trouble. Full of action and fast paced! Absolutely love it!! Discover new places with just one click.

Lila is my hero

This is just a great start into a promising series, with so many surprises and the development of a deep friendship ahead. I love Zam and her travel companions, how they overcome all those obstacles to reach a common goal. What a team. I have a feeling they will be back and stronger than before. Great story and awesome narration! Off to the next to be enchanted by the desert cursed series over and over again!

Performance was outstanding. Characters were clearly identifiable by changes in the narrator's voice, speed of talking, and turn of phrase.
Captivating story but there wasn't a clear ending to this first book in the series. That said, I plan to read the next book in the series.

great book, excited to start the next

I thought this book was great and am excited about starting the next book. I had this book saved for quite a while and after starting it wondered why I hadn't started it sooner.

If you are looking for a series that will keep you listening, look no further. Lauren Fortgang does a fabulous job of bringing Shannon Mayers, Witch's Reign, to life. For me, the book did start off with the feeling that I missed a tie into the series. After the first chapter that feeling went away and I was hooked! This book drops you right into the action. Zamira will instantly win you over with her kick butt and take names attitude and very creative insults. This book was truly a fun read and I cant wait to see where it goes.
