Publisher's summary

In Oceanport, New England's most gossipy small town, people wonder about Griff. Such a cute omega can't possibly be satisfied without a proper mate they say. Yet he'll be 30 soon and as far as they know he's never been with anyone! The truth is that Griff has given up on finding love...that is until his childhood best friend moves back to town and sets his heart on fire.

When Dean's firefighter career is sidetracked by a tragic accident, returning to his roots to mend seems like a good move. It gives him a chance to breathe, as well as a chance to reconnect with his oldest friend, the omega who stole his heart when they were young. For some reason though, Griff keeps shying away from him, and it takes Dean a lot of patience, and a ton of cupcakes, to lure the sugar-addict out of his shell - and into his arms.

But Dean's memories are still seared by the tragedy that sent him home and Griff is afraid of giving in to his omega instincts. Can they win through their personal walks of fire or is their flame bound to burn out?

Way too surgery

Second of two in the series and I can't take the third. My mind just screams at the character and their way over the top simple outlooks on life. Sorry.

Such a fun book

I really love Griff and Dean. Griff is such a fun omega that refuses to act like an adult and I love how Dean uses Griff's sweet tooth as a courting tool. I think these two men are my favorite couple in Oceanport because of their friendship-turned relationship.

John does such a good job bringing out the personality of everyone, especially Dean's little cousin Mary, that I spend a lot of time smiling while listening.

Cupcakes and puppies!

The book was decent but not my favorite in the series. It was too slow-paced and very low on smut. Griff is a 30 years old virgin omega who’s afraid of having sex and alphas. And Dean is an all-round perfect boyfriend. And as expected, Griff parents were asses. I knew I’m not going to like them from the first book but this book just confirmed it. This is sappy sweet, very slow-paced and this could have even identified as a YA if there wasn’t the only two sex scenes which are very low on heat. As always, John Solo narrated the hell out of this book though. Love, loved his narration! Always spot on. Enjoyable but not memorable.

Loved these two

I'm so glad that Griff got his HEA. Even though his parents kind of came around, I still couldn't stand them, especially because they turned their back on Eli. Anyway, Dean & Griff made a sweet couple.

A Baby for the Firefighter, Oceanport Omegas book

While I liked this book its not my favorite of the entire series. This book was a more on the sweet and sugary side than book one was. Absolutely no angst or drama in this book, just a really cute story overall.
And the award for the most Patient and Understanding Alpha goes to....
Dean, Alpha, firefighter, baker, Sweetest most understanding, patient guy on the planet. lol. Taking a break from his job, he comes back into town to help his cousin with his business after moving away when he was a teen where he ends up reconnecting with his teenage best friend Griff.
Griff, Omega, Photographer, Sugar obsessed, Virgin and Afraid of the attraction he still has to his teenage friend and crush Dean.
I was really happy with the way this book turned out. To see a couple, Dean and Griff turn from friends into more and have actual conversations about their feelings, and making sure they each both feel comfortable about where they are in life and where they are headed together was refreshing. There relationship together just had a natural progression to it and wasn't rushed at all. The way Dean took his time to make sure Griff was happy at all times was really sweet. Also, I really hate Griffs parents, they are horrible people and I wish they would have stayed out of the story, but I do see why the author added them in. I liked that we also got to see more of Griff's brother Eli (from book 1) and that we got to meet Shane and his kids, who we should be seeing in the next book 3 of this series.
Audio - John Solo is doing great with this series and I really hope the Author sticks with him for the rest. He really made sure that Griff and Dean both were unique characters with his narration and I really enjoyed listening to this book.

Fantastic narration

This book was a bit slow for me. Especially considering the age of the protagonists, I would have liked a bit more maturity and depth in the story. What made this audiobook worth listening to was John Solo's narration. He hit each of the characters perfectly. So if you want sweet, fluffy and low-angst with a brilliant narration, go for it.

A sweet low angst read

A Baby for the Firefighter is a non shifter omegaverse story that will no doubt be enjoyed by fans of this genre. It is a light and fluffy listen and a good way to escape the real world for a time. A guaranteed HEA.

can parents grow up emotionally???

I liked the way Griff and Dean danced around each other skirting their truths for part of the story. It was even better when they finally admitted their feelings and got down to business. I liked when Griff and Eli's mom stood up to their dad and effected change, but she back slid into old ways. Come on mom!!! The parents needed to know their boundaries and filters and just grow up. Griff and Dean had my empathy and my love. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters to life.

Best Friends reconnected

Griff and Dean get the HEA and a baby. This is just another great addition to the Oceanport Omegas. John Solo is, as always, superb. I really loved these two and thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
