Michael continues to work to fulfill the promise to his love, but the world isn't the same place.
Now, there is a mistake he made centuries in the past walking around he needs to rectify.
To complicate matters, there is a group out of England believing Michael's blood will be just what they need for their business. While they get nasty Vampires off the street at the same time.
Further, the effort to pull together the Sacred Clan's ship parts are starting to come together.
Unfortunately, no one wishes to give Michael and his new family any help.
What is a man with a hair problem supposed to do?
Michael has his own brand of justice, and this world now understands the Patriarch is back.
Nothing will be the same.

One of the best multi-author series I've seen.

Those POVs in this book are so so boring!!! Most of the book they’re just killing time in Japan.
It also goes back and forth too fast. It cuts off in the middle of a situation, sometimes jumping around in time. I think it’s done to “build suspense” but it’s just frustrating I honestly was itching to just start skipping ahead of the ancillary characters, but the bits are so short, I might miss all the interesting /Michael portions in those 30 sec.
The other thing is that the dialogue is suffering. sometimes wooden and seemingly forced. Too much attempted humor and banter in the middle of battles. Too flippant. It’s weird.
Also, I just have to say for a whole series that is supposed to be about “kick ass women” it flings around unflattering female stereotypes an awful lot— like women being obsessed with shoes, being distracted by sparkly jewelry, being a jealous possessive temperamental brat, etc.
I wish I still enjoyed the actual books as much the overall story. But I’m really still listening because the author made me interested and made me really like Michael early on and now I can’t let go, I need to know what happens.
Still Listening, but there’s less Michael in every subsequent book
