Get ready for some heavy mental exercise

I have listened to many of Jordan Peterson's lectures and listened to the 12 Rules for Life. This audiobook is much heavier and more detailed than most of the previous material.

Wow

I am going to have to listen to this again. This is such an important book I can’t even begin to describe its contents and do it justice. This is a masterpiece on the psychology of man journey from darkness to light and the deeper meaning of the myths and religion that expressed that journey.

Peterson - Think Deep

This guy is a phenomenon. Do your background research. Pay attention. Keep plugging along. Most of his stuff will eventually make sense and strike deep chords of truth. No one have I read before or listened to has such a strong disciplined study of so many diverse subjects. All this relates to the condition of man and prescriptions for recovery of the malaise we find ourselves in.

Peterson really is an antidote to chaos and misery. I pray more people will willingly think deeper and strive to grasp the profound meanings this master of deep thinking has provided us.

Jordan Peterson’s reading is absolutely wonderful. His emphasis from his heart and knowing what he is trying to convey come across. I has listened through twice now and have the book and listen randomly still. Always profound. Always rich.

The hardest parts to bear are the long dronings over the Egyptian myth stuff which gets almost unbearable. The conclusion chapter on Divinity of Interest and the first couple of chapters are most important. Sometimes it’s better to stop listening or hear shorter bursts or even slowing it down at times to digest before your head explodes.

I am sixty-one years old and have spent a lifetime studying philosophy, theology, the greatest of Western thinkers and lots of mental self explorations - always with the one disappointing result of never finding someone truly profound.

A lifetime waiting for someone to be profound.

This book read by the author is the beginnings of the response of that search for profundity. That sounds like hyperbole and hero worship I know. I think it’s spot on level truth.

Enjoy. Be patient. Do your homework. Think deeper. Find meaning.

Intriguing and provocative

I find Dr. Peterson’s thinking to be seasoned and carefully communicated. Some of his pronunciations are a bit distracting, but I don’t know if that is regional dialect or autodidact related. This is much deeper and more challenging than his other book. I frequently wished I could challenge or discuss some points. That’s the mark of a provocative book, right?

One of the great works of our time.

History tells us what events have happened while myth and religion dissect their significance to help guide us, their offspring, into building a better world.

Terrifying, hopeful

This book literally tore me apart, patched me back together--- sort of--- and has sent me on The Way.

An amazing introspective look into mankind. I was truly amazed and appreciate the work Dr. Peterson put into thos book. Bravo!

This book shows the way to a meaningful and worthwhile life while simultaneously providing an analytical justification for the revealed path’s legitimacy - a justification with which I was unable to find fault.

This may be the most valuable book you ever read.
