Publisher's summary

Keaton Bridge is 100 percent bad boy.

Cassie doesn't need a boy and certainly not a bad one. Nope. She fights crime for a living, and everything about this guy screams trouble, from his charming British accent to his mysterious past. And Cassie doesn't do trouble.

Keaton's got his own trouble. He's trying to go legit, and an FBI agent hanging around is the last thing that will help his credibility.

All it took was one night of passion to sear her into his skin. Now he can't imagine living happily ever after without her.

All they have to do is walk away. But neither of them ever walks away from a challenge....

Contains mature themes.

Shane and Megan really bring Keaton and Cassie to life!

Prince Charming by CD Reiss, well honestly who doesn’t love an English Gentleman? And Keaton is all that with a side of dirty, that just made me swoon all the harder. Throw in some dark web and under world activity with an ambitious FBI agent, who is determined to get her man (one way or another), and you’ve got gold!

I initially started out reading Prince Charming, and I had painted my own image of how both, Keaton and Cassie would sound and act. Then due to circumstances (life and adulating getting in the way…again!) I had to shelve there for another time. SACRILEGE, I know! But if I didn’t have to I wouldn’t have, believe me! So when the opportunity arose to pick them up again, I jumped on it. But this time round I opted for the audio version. Look Ma no hands! Who knew this option could be so freeing ( my hands) and liberating. I have a limited amount of time to cram as many books as possible in, so this was a great start. I managed to finish the second half in a matter of hours and still got things done. PERFECT!

I’ve always had a thing for accents, and the narrator’s accent and voice, just did things to me, as well as brought Keaton to life for me. So while I listened to the second half of the book, I found myself becoming more and more caught up in Keaton and Cassie’s world. The initial picture I had conjured up had the gaps filled in and I was left at the end of Keaton and Cassie’s story with a complete portrait of their life and their love.

This is just one of the many reasons CD Reiss has become one of my favourite authors. She gives you all the details to feel complete and whole when your done reading her books. Unless of course you’re reading one of her duets, then she’ll leave you dangling off that cliff with barely anything to grab onto, but thankfully not this time!

Filthy Fantastic

Prince Charming by CD Reiss brings top notch chemistry, suspense, and sizzling sexytimes to life. The characters are complex and bold. The story is passionate and intriguing. This book was an intoxicating and exhilarating read. It will make engage your body and mind and leave you panting in pleasure.

The narrators did a wonderful job of bringing the character traits and flaws into focus. Their performances zeroed in on the humanity, the conflict, and the connection between Cassie and Keaton.

A few twists

Different types of characters with unexpected diverse backgrounds.

I wasn’t sure about female narrator at first but realized her clipped and intense narration suited the female character.

Shane East did a great job as usual.

Loved This Sexy, Cat-and-Mouse Romance!

I loved this captivating, shrewd, and very sexy, cat-and-mouse romance. Cassie is a smart, ambitious, and determined, FBI agent. She has brought Keaton in for questioning, trying to get a break on a case that could get her the promotion she wants but eludes her. Keaton is intelligent, charming, and sexy and he sees all her secrets. When they accidentally meet again months later they are helpless to keep their distance. They begin a secret affair that is hot and sexy but also sweet and romantic. Cassie has a past that she is trying to overcome and being in law enforcement has always been the redemption she dreamed of. Keaton is surprised by his attraction to Cassie. He has lived a private life, without getting close to even his best friend and business partner, Taylor. Cassie has gotten in his head and could destroy all his careful plans. Their sexy games are intriguing, and seductive. As Cassie gets closer to the truth that Keaton keeps so well guarded, her life is more in danger. This thrilling story with twists and turns will keep you engaged and guessing right to the very end. I loved both Keaton and Cassie, they were so well matched, challenging each other, creating explosive chemistry. Narrators Megan Tusing, and Shane East were perfectly cast as Cassie and Keaton. They absolutely nailed these characters with their ability to convey the depth and complexity of the emotions both Cassie and Keaton experienced. I was so invested in their performance and in these characters, that I was totally captivated from start to finish. I really loved the ending too. It was funny and sweet and totally satisfying. There are a few questions left for another story and I can't wait for more in this series!

A toned down Hero.

FBI agent Cassie risks professionalism and integrity if she pursues a forbidden relationship with Keaton, a suspect in a case; and he risks his liberty from any involvement with Cassie.

I would have bought into their risk-taking more if they had spent longer resisting one another with the sexual tension rising along with the intrigue. I felt they both took those risks too early in their acquaintance succumbing to lust rather than emotion. But that’s just me. Despite this, I still found the novel enjoyable.

Keaton is the badass partner of Taylor from the first stand-alone book in the series, KING OF CODE. And I mean badass – in a shady, internet underworld, don’t-mess-with-me-or-I-will-destroy-you kind of way. What a delicious character he promised to be.

For me, his badass in KING OF CODE was unrealised potential in PRINCE CHARMING. Keaton was toned down, and it took me a while to adjust my expectations and accept that he could be different, and still hot and heroic. He just wasn’t commanding in the way I thought KING OF CODE built him up to be.

PRINCE CHARMING is a stand-alone. You don't need to read KING OF CODE to enjoy it but I recommend that novel (it's available on Audible). It adds to the understanding of this one. On the other hand, if you read PRINCE CHARMING first, you won't have the expectations I had about Keaton, and you may enjoy it more.

I liked this novel overall, but it doesn’t hold a candle to KING OF CODE, in my opinion.

Shane East (swoon!) - already his fan, narrated for Keaton; and Megan Tusing (wonderful) narrated for Cassie. It was my first time hearing Ms. Tusing and I was impressed. For me, this was a great Audible experience.

Man of mystery somewhat droll

After King of Code I was really looking forward to this story, but neither Keaton nor Cassie were as exciting though their background stories were interesting. Also their relationship and characters were slow to develop and the sex was a bit on the mild side given the character build up. Narration was pretty good for him but her’s was a bit whiny at times.

Great narration!

3.5 Crazy Stars!!!

I've been listening on and off to this audiobook over the last couple of weeks now. It's not that I found it hard to get into, it's just that I've had other books grab my attention away from this story. I did find the narration more enjoyable than I did of King of Code. There were no annoying horns blowing or music.
Megan Tusing and Shane East did an excellent job narrating this story. Shane was perfectly cast for Keaton and had me swooning right along side Cassie. Megan made a perfect Cassie. They both did a great job giving voices to the other characters as well.
