Joy and Mist

for a long time I have been persuaded that the most common views with regard to Ecclesiastes are not correct, and I love this book's refreshing perspective.

this book is very helpful, and instructive. The whole point is simply this, "life is short, enjoy it while you have it, and use it to glorify God." if that isn't wisdom I dont know what is

Enjoyable

Who would think a commentary to be enjoyable as well as informative? Well, you have it here. Well written and thought out even with a few dashes of humour thrown in. Kudos.

Fabulous Content! Excellent summary of Ecclesiastes.

The narrator was rushed and often missed inflections. The book often felt rushed and I lost focus on the content occasionally due to the reader. But I will listen to this book again because it was so well written and there is a lot there to glean.

Phenomenal commentary!

This is probably one of my favorite commentaries I have read. It's not because of its thickness, rather it lends itself to the layman just as much as the pastor. Seeing Ecclesiastes as one continuous argument of God's sovereignty in all things has transformed this book into one of my favorite and most impactful books in all of Scripture. Kudos to Douglas Wilson on another heavy-hitting, yet accessible book!

Great Review of Ecclesiastes

Whether you are somebody who is confused with Ecclesiastes or somebody who has read it many times and loved it, Wilson's book would be profitable to read. Wilson provides a helpful outline of Ecclesiastes which helped me see Solomon's argument better and understand the book further as a whole. The performance itself is clear as well.

Engaging and thoughtful thoughts on Ecclesiastes.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Wilson's thoughts on this enigmatic book. I didn't always agree with his take, but I found several places where I reviewed what he did and ended up persuaded. Overall the way he consistently focused on the Joy in the book was good for me, I'm so tired of hearing people talk about how pessimistic it is.

If you're looking to be reminded of how to have joy in life, grab your Bible and follow along with this book. At the very least you will be given ample reminders of the joy we can have (and we only have) in Christ.
