From the author of the best-selling Contagion comes a new novel in the Living Dead series.

When deadly earthquakes devastate the Caribbean, an ancient disease of almost unimaginable destructive force engulfs the globe. As the earth continues to convulse and the seas encroach, the dead rise with an appetite for human flesh. Survivors must learn to navigate a world in which they are now the hunted. A world where the hunters never sleep.

Fairly interesting but female characters are constantly doing stupid things. A little hard to follow and not engaging enough for me to continue.
I love zombie books. Some of my favorite series are Zombie Road, Commune, and Undead by RR Haywood. These few have outstanding performers, There are also other great zombie series that are interesting and expertly narrated, but these are at top of my mind at the moment

Just an average zombie book

Loved the characters and the plot. I can’t wait to listen to the third book. I hope she finds Bryan!

As the title suggest, this is a basic zombie series. I found myself zoning in and out and times. I liked that book 2 was from a different perspective (with new people), but the characters from book 1 do end up "colliding" with them in the end. It's a great blend of both stories and brings the two together. But it's not enough for me to continue on with this series.

This series is just OK

It's hard to tell on the second book if it's the readers performance is as terrible as it is, or if the books are written poorly and the reader is trying to make the books more interesting.

Everything is read with a sense of impending doom, from putting shoes on, opening an email, making a call to basic conversation between characters. Even the most mundane moments are fraught with a sense of doom. It's agonizing to listen to constantly.

The stories themselves are very good, some dialog is iffy, but over all I would listen again if only for a different reading performance. Beresford is not a great narrator.

Terrible reading performance, decent story

I was annoyed at the beginning because it seemed the main female character over the top stupid behavior, gladly that diminished as the story progressed.

No outrageous feats
