I met Erwin McManus at a conference in Ohio briefly through a meet an greet. I am not much of a reader (until recently) so I had him sign the wooden arrow that they gave us. I am glad I did because after listening to "the last arrow" as I travel about 45 minutes to and from work, where I work at a Christian Residential facility, it symbolizes much more than I initially though it would as it hangs in my office it is now a daily reminder to keep striking!

This is a challenging & in-your-face book. This directly confronts our society’s “choose your battles” attitude. If I only choose to fight those battles I think I can win, then I limit God’s hand in my life & commit myself to a life of mediocrity. God wants us to live an extraordinary life. Powerful and inspiring allegory for servant leaders

Deeply moving book with a powerfully inspirational message to servant leaders to not hold back their talents from the world. Secular examples from his incredible life woven with stories from scripture bring meaningful emphasis to those of us who may struggling to maintain our purpose driven lives in what may seem like a hostile and cold world. Personally found this one of the most motivational books I have listened to for someone who has at times grown weary in his efforts to good (effect positive change).
