He changed his voice when he read

and it was sort of annoying.
I wish it was read by Dan Woren.

From New Age to Exclusively Jesus and born again

Wow! I am or rather I was addicted to learning about spiritual traditions from around the world, I was always seeking. I always loved Jesus, but I once held him in the same light as Buddha and Krishna I was a “new age,” Seeker or a spiritual slut. Not anymore, I now see the hollowness and lack of depth in the new age arena as it’s not fulfilling. After this book, I am a born again Christian, and I feel so much peace. My friends who know me are shocked and can see and feel the transformation I’ve gone through. In just the last 72 hours everything I thought I believed has been derailed, and I’m back to Jesus 100%. This book is so powerful, I’m so grateful. When I was 10 years old, my little brother died and was brought back to life. His first words were “I want to go to church.” My family then became catholic and I always loved church... then in my teenage years I rebelled and explored other teachings, I’ve been seeking other teachings neurotically for the last twenty years, but nothing has filled that spiritual void the way the truths in this book have. I never studied the Bible, until now :-) or even thought to get back into Jesus and the Bible exclusively 100% until this book... so powerful! I’m eternally... and I mean ETERNALLY grateful. Thank you, and I pray this book may serve you as it has me.

Great book, narration is atrocious

The book is very wonderful and enlightening. It is an extremely serious subject to anyone who chooses to read this book. But, the narrator while smooth changes his voice to the person speaking in the book. This entails, all doctors speaking like pompous college professors (I’m a doctor, I don’t speak this way), imitating children with speech impediments (difficulty pronouncing “r” R to W sound), imitating west Asians (Indian), imitating women with a high voice, etc. It really detracts from the book and the deep emotion portrayed. My point is, we can’t assume people sound a certain way. And just rad the book. This isn’t a children’s book where we are trying to captivate the audience with inflection of voice. It is so irritating at times that I want to turn it off and just read the book. Again the narrator reads really well but whomever gave him the idea to change his voice to “fit” the character made a huge mistake.

If you ever wondered about heaven, READ THIS!

Why I gave the performance a 1 star

The reader had an excellent voice for the most part, but I cannot handle listening to the reader change voices to sound like a woman, child or various men’s voices. It was very distracting and made listening difficult!

This book will revolutionize and allow better understanding of biblical passages. Very factual and correlates well with the Bible! Thanks for 30 years of research.

I almost can’t finish the book because the narrator is so annoying, with his constant different voices trying to emulate women, other cultures, all with poor ability to do so. The worst is when he tries to act like a child. The book itself is fantastic and quite intriguing; however, it is ruined by the performance

I want everyone I know and love to know this book

After reading this book and then listening to the Audible I am convinced, again, that God is reaching out to us in ways that we can’t always see or hear. And so with this, I know that I now want everyone I know, and especially everyone I love, to know everything that is contained within this book. It is a life changer!!
