Glued from the start!

I love a great psychological thriller and adore author Maxx E. Stone's books. This author has the write words and imagination to keep me listening, add narrator Noah Michael Levine and it's perfection.

The story begins with Melissa fleeing a gruesome scene. She escapes to Italy but can't get far enough away from the person who stalks her. She leaves behind her daughter who is taken in by the family. The young girl is lost, confused and scared.

There are several characters involved in the story and it jumps from one one to the next but flows nicely and increases the suspense factor. The plot twists further through each viewpoint and character lead to many surprises. If you love a story where you won't figure out the plot on page one this is an excellent one to read or try any of Max E. Stone's books.

CAPTIVATING AND TERROR FILLED - LOVED IT!!!

One Minute There is the epitome of what a suspense/thriller/horror book should be. If you don't want to be on the edge of your seat, in suspense and scared - then this is not the series for you.

Max E Stone is at the top of the game when it comes to writing this genre. The series is written in such a way that you are drawn in from page 1 and kept on the edge of your seat and taken on a roller coaster of emotions until the end - leaving you wanting more. The authors descriptive writing throughout the entire book draws you in and allows you to picture every scene in your minds' eye. This is not the book you want to listen to before going to sleep.

The narrator, Noah Michael Levine, gives a phenomenal performance. Some other narrators I have listened to should sit up, take notice and take notes. This performance is how horror/suspense books should be narrated. From page 1, Mr. Levine grabs your attention and captivates you with portrayal of each character and scene. He has excellent tone, pace, timing, voice inflection and adds excitement, intrigue and suspense to the story. Mr. Levine enhances this story and brings it to life for you.

My only complaint is that the book is too short - I want more, more & more from this author. Kudos to both the author and narrator - an excellent pair. I am looking forward to more work from this duo.

The narrator did a very good job with this book. I see this is the 3rd book but I was a little confused with not having a resolution to what Melissa did to her sister in law at the beginning of the book. Why did she do that? what happened? did I miss something? I really enjoyed the book overall I was a little sad with how short I felt it was. There was some jumping around from character to character but I was able to understand what was going on. The book kept my attention and made me want more.

Very suspenseful

One Minute There is a very suspenseful book. Unfortunately I did not listen to books 1&2 first. I may go back and give them a listen. Max E Stone did an excellent job in writing this book. It kept me on edge the whole time!

The story is focused on Melissa Bennett. It starts with her leaving the scene of a horrific crime. She leaves her 5 year old daughter behind as she tries to escape the man stalking her.

As much as I enjoyed this book, I think I'd recommend listening to books 1&2 first. It hopefully tells why Melissa did what she did to her sister and who this man stalking her is.

Excellent narration by Noah Michael Levine! Great job with the accents and voices of each character, both male and female.

this is how it goes when you stalk narrators

I was given this audio book for a honest rewiev from the auther.
this is my first book from this auther. And i must say i only wanted this book because i really like the narrator. So you can say i was surprised when i started it to hear it was not the kind of book i would normally hear. But i gave it a chance. And i am glad i did. in the beginning i was abit confused about all the caractors until i went back to tjeck and found out it is number 3 in a series. But i got a hang of them and it drew me in. what a fantastic well written book this is. I feel like i really want to know more about all of them. want to know where they came from and where they will go next.
And yes i only wanted to hear the narrators voice but i ended up really enjoying this book
