Everything You Need to Know About Self-Publishing

There's been many times I've thought about writing a book but the thought of it seemed too complicated. Listening to "Think, Write, Publish" really put it into perspective for me. This book written by Benjamin Chapin lays it all out and tells you everything you need to know to not only get started but to publish your work. It takes dedication first and foremost and you have to do the work but the end result is worth it.

I like the way he put this together as Road Maps because he gives you every avenue you need to take to get yourself to the destination. This is a terrific book that I'd recommend to anyone wanting to write and publish.

I enjoy listening to Jay Prichard's narration. He has a positive, upbeat cadence in his voice and that goes a long way. He makes listening fun and enjoyable while speaking clearly.

Great for people interested in self-pulishing

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is a great book for anyone interested in self-publishing a novel. It is split in to several major parts. First very general information for writing, then the specifics of self-publishing and marketing.

What did you like best about this story?

The "how to write" part is very general. No great inspiration there for someone who is actively writing a novel.

However, the author goes into very specific detail about the precise steps needed to publish and market a book. He gives step-by-step detail. I found that extremely helpful information (even if a bit hard to absorb from an audio book.) The author has a .pdf he gives us access to.

I have done a lot of research into self-publishing and marketing my first novel. This is the most complete resource I have found for those two topics.

Any additional comments?

The author writes inspirational romance novels. As I am also writing a romance series, I found him extremely helpful. People who are looking to write more literary novels and may find the information a bit too commercial.

Everything I've been looking for.

What made the experience of listening to Think, Write, Publish the most enjoyable?

Shooting straight from the hip, this book helps me see that publishing is manageable and possible. It answers ALL my questions--and more than I realized I had. In understandable language, Think Write Publish delineates HOW to write and publish, and it makes publishing a tangible reality. Without sugar-coating the process, the book tames the monstrous publishing juggernaut. I especially appreciate the Christian acknowledgment and the well-informed formatting and marketing guidance. Thank you, Mr. Chapin!
