Publisher's summary

Mankind's outer colonies are disappearing. Without warning. Without a trace. Fleet command chalks the attacks up to pirates, but Captain Dryker of the UFC Johnston isn't buying it.

Defying command, he leads his misfit crew into hostile territory in search of answers. They encounter a technologically superior foe unlike anything humanity has ever seen, one bent on the destruction of all sentient life. After 26,000 years the mythical Void Wraith have returned to begin the next Eradication.

Humanity cannot stop them. Not without help. Captain Dryker's only hope is to forge an alliance with mankind's greatest enemy, the savage Tigris.

One maverick captain, an unlikely crew, and an aging vessel are all that stand between humanity and the Eradication.

very very good first start to a series

the story was excellent and moved along at a very good pace. the author got his point across and never bogged down with useless "Fluf". I can't wait to hear the next book...

Solid Space Marine Fun

Chris fox did an amazing feat of writing, churning out this book in less than one month for all to see (on YouTube). I think he did a great job and I really enjoyed the book.

good story, mismatch words

tad bit slow starting off. picked up and became a really good book. narrator kept mixing up character names. never bad enough to confuse or throw off. overall a good book for a first time sci-fi novel.

Really enjoyable

Really liked it, and the narrator is good.

It'll be interesting to see what happens in the next part.

A really action packed start

Nice book, good story and twisty plot aside from plot devices being vague.

An ancient enemy awakes

An ancient enemy awakes and wary enemies must cooperate to survive.

If you enjoyed Chris' Deathless series, you will enjoy this interstellar story. It starts slowly while introducing the players and setting, then quickly moves to the action. The story ends at a good stopping point, and sets the stage for another book.

Good story, but...

This was a good sci-fi action story. It kept moving from beginning to end. I liked the characters. But the authors use of blasphemy spoiled the story for me. So disappointing since the blasphemy adds nothing to the story. I won't buy any more books from this author.

Good concept still needs a few refinements.

The story has everything a Sci first needs for a great romp around the galaxy. some of the key moments were a bit out there such as when the captain leaves the bridge when they were being attacked. The story itself has a great pace and the characters are relatable.

Very good on the fly character development, makes you actually care about events and people. fist sci fi book and I rate this very highly. this man went in on this book. I like how he makes the book and history work for HIS story.
