Publisher's summary

Jim Dale's Grammy Award-winning performance of J.K. Rowling's iconic stories is a listening adventure for the whole family.

'Welcome to the Knight Bus, emergency transport for the stranded witch or wizard. Just stick out your wand hand, step on board and we can take you anywhere you want to go.'

Close your eyes and enter the magical world of Harry Potter. In these editions, Jim Dale's characterful narration is so entertaining, fun, and theatrical you can almost hear the crackle of the fire in the Gryffindor common room.

When the Knight Bus crashes through the darkness and screeches to a halt in front of him, it's the start of another far from ordinary year at Hogwarts for Harry Potter. Sirius Black, escaped mass-murderer and follower of Lord Voldemort, is on the run - and they say he is coming after Harry. In his first ever Divination class, Professor Trelawney sees an omen of death in Harry's tea leaves... But perhaps most terrifying of all are the Dementors patrolling the school grounds, with their soul-sucking kiss...

Having become classics of our time, the Harry Potter stories never fail to bring comfort and escapism. With their message of hope, belonging and the enduring power of truth and love, the story of the Boy Who Lived continues to delight generations of new listeners.

Voldemort IS pronounced correctly!

To everyone complaining about how he pronounces Voldemort, please note that it is correct. The movies are incorrect, JK has stated this.

Otherwise, that is all this narrator does right. His voices are terrible, and they are constantly whining. Poor Hermione is the worst. HarrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeEEEEeeeeee!

Excellent!

My second favorite Harry Potter book so far. I am still enjoying the audio performance. Love how the reader creates all the character voices that you can tell who is talking. Reading/listening to book 4 next!

Absolutely Brilliant

Harry Potter is arguably one of the best young adult stories out there. I never thought it was possible, but Jim Dale brings so much more depth and magic to the series through his incredible use of different voices. He is able to portray so much more of each characters personality in a way that makes the wizard world come alive and feel much more real. I will always love and cherish the physical books, but the audiobook really adds to the overall story. Great series with an amazing narrator!

Wonderful

Loved it, just as I have all the others. The Harry Potter series is my go to listen for pretty much any reason. Sad? listen to HP, bored? Listen to HP, anxious? Listen to HP, cleaning? Listen to HP! Jim Dale does an excellent job narrating the series and the numerous characters in it, I can't recommend these audiobooks enough!
