Publisher's summary

Danica Snow has always been the smart, practical, and appropriate sister. As a therapist, she prides herself on making reasonable, conservative choices, even if a bit boring, and as part of the Big Sister Program, she has little time for anything more in her life.

Blake Carter is a player. He never gets bored of conquering women, and with his sexy good looks and successful lifestyle, he has no trouble finding willing participants. When his friend and business partner dies in a tragic accident, he suddenly, desperately, wants to change his ways. The problem is, he doesn't know how to stop doing what he does best.

When Blake walks into Danica's office, the attraction between them is white hot, but Danica isn't the type to give into the heat and risk her career. Danica's desire sets her on a path of self-discovery, where she begins to question every decision she's ever made. Just this once, Danica wants to indulge in the pleasures of life she's been so willingly ignoring, but with her Little Sister in turmoil and her biological sister's promiscuousness weighing heavily on her heart, she isn't sure it's the right time to set her desires free.

Great narrator!

Where does Sisters in Love rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love Sisters in Love: Snow Sisters. This is definitely one of my favorite books of Melissa Foster! Her writing flows so freely and naturally - she is a joy to read (or listen too!) The audible version is awesome - I liked the reader and he did a great job! I love the fact that you can toggle between the book and the audio version if want to. Danica is hilarious and I love her personality! I love how she is always trying to analyze her own life and compare it to her sister's. This is a great love story and definitely worth the read.

Which character – as performed by B.J. Harrison – was your favorite?

Definitely Blake!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Emotional and Engaging

This story had it all. It was fun and flirty but it was also emotional and raw. It tackled some difficult subject matter with honesty and empathy. I really loved both Danica and Blake. They really struggled with who they were and who they wanted to be. There was alot going on with many supporting and essential characters but it worked well and made both Danica and Blake feel authentic and real. Their blossoming relationship was very sweet and sexy. This is the first time I've listened to B.J. Harrison's work and I thought he did a good job. I was a bit distracted at times by how formal he was and the enunciation of his 't's, only because I prefer a more casual narration. Overall I enjoyed his work. This is the first book I've listened to by this author and I will definitely check out more of her work.

Great Story!

I listened to this book, Sisters in Love by Melissa Foster as an audiobook narrated by B.J. Harrison. This audiobook is a great introduction into the Love in Bloom series. I enjoyed the story of Danica Snow and Blake Carter and of course getting to know all their friends especially Danica’s sister Kaylie. There was a lot going on in this book for our hero and heroine, but they both dealt with their challenges and definitely deserve their chance to be together. This definitely has me looking forward to our next visit to the Love in Bloom world. I thought that B.J. Harrison did a good job with narrating this book, especially with all the different characters. I would definitely listen to him narrating another audiobook.

Fantastic story with nice narrator :)

I read Sisters in love and loved the story so when it came up to review for Audible, I thought why not I already love the story so why not review it in audio form. I wasn't disappointed the story was still as good as it was when I read it the first time. This is my first review for an audiobook, so I guess the review should reflect everything about it, the writing, the story line and of course the narrator, well the writing and the story are great. The narrator BJ Harrison has a nice voice for reading books, he did a good job however I think this story would have been much better had a women read Danika and the other women in this book and then BJ read Blake and the other guys in the story. Some of the lines that were women, his voice just didn't do it for me, but for Blake and the other males in the book he did a fantastic job. I don't know if it's possible to have a female and male split up the reading but if so maybe consider for future audiobooks. But BJ did do a fantastic job for the most part and I would definitely listen to more books narrated by him. Thanks for putting your fabulous books on audible, I can't wait to listen to more of your books!

Colorado Love

Where does Sisters in Love rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I enjoy listening B.J Harrison. He has a soft soothing voice, sexy to listen to and he brings the book to life. I enjoyed the story, very heartfelt. I believe Melissa writes in a way that pulls at the heart with believeable stories. I can see why she is one author you want to have on auto to buy. I can't wait to see these become possible movies.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I don't think I could choose a favorite. This story was about more than just two main characters but I enjoyed seeing the story of Blake and Danica unfold.

What does B.J. Harrison bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He brings the book to life. To where you can really see and almost feel what is happening to the characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I could I would.

Great start to a series!

I loved this book. Blake Carter seeks help from therapist Danica Snow after his best friend and business partner dies. Turns out he has had a brief and embarrassing encounter with Danica recently. Both struggle with their feelings. Melissa Foster has created a story with many facets. While it focuses on Blake and Danica and their relationship, we also meet Danica's sister, Blake's best friend's family and the difficult situations that make Blake examine how he lives his life. BJ Harrison has a soothing and smooth voice. I love how he portrays each character. It was a great audio experience. So glad this is the beginning of a series as I look forward to more Snow Sisters.

Emotional

What I loved about Sisters in Love was the bit of taboo to the love story. Danica is a therapist and Blake comes to her as a patient.

“Danica’s heart broke with the realization she so often had—that everyone carries baggage. Some people’s was just lighter than others’.”

As much as she feels a pull towards Blake, Danica tries to make cautious, sensible decisions. She sees her sister Kaylie’s seeming promiscuity and doesn’t want that for herself.

“We don’t have to be who our parents or people around us expect us to be.”

I loved the little hints of Kaylie’s story that we are given. It really makes me want to read the next Story Sister book. I listened to this on audiobook and I enjoy this narrator. He really brings the story to life off of the page.

Redemption && Love

Sisters in Love (Love in Bloom: Snow Sisters) Book 1 Melissa Foster
Narrated by B.J. Harrison

Therapist Danica Snow lives a life full of responsibility and rules, always playing it safe. So concerned with her professional appearance she even dresses beyond her years and is often judgmental. Her opposite iin every way s her own irresponsible sister Kaylie. She exudes confidence in spades, knowing how to dress and how to strut her stuff and can get any man she wants.

In her spare time Danica is a Big Sister to Michelle, a fifteen year-old girl living with her grandmother who has issues of her own to deal with. Over the course of the book you see changes in all three, as they are forced to confront the way they live their lives.

Handsome Blake Carter is player extraordinaire. Blake uses sex as a distraction from anything unpleasant in his life. His love 'em and leave 'em attitude eventually catches up with him when tragedy strikes and he loses his best friend, business partner and fellow acroskier Dave Tuft. Dave's death throws Blake and makes him question everything he thought he knew about himself.

Blake and Danica meet by accident, literally and it does not go well. Danica's presence stays with him and he can't forget her. He ends up becoming her patient having gotten the number from Dave prior to his death. Just a number, with no name. Unable to cope with the loss he schedules an appointment and thus begins their relationship, therapist and patient.

Neither can deny the immediate attraction, although they both try. As Danica helps Blake work through his own grief and bad choices, Danica starts to look inward at her own choices. She starts to question if she's really living her life to its fullest.

Blake works through whether or not he was a good enough friend to Dave, can he help Dave's wiidow Sally and son Rusty? Can he become the kind of man he wants to be? Can he win the respect and love of Danica?

Danica comes to some major realizations of her own regarding Kaylie, Michelle, Blake and herself. I loved listening to their story as each character made the decision to live their true life and bravely move forward.

It amazes me how Melissa Foster made you believe in Blake's redemption and root for him and Danica. This book will make you cheer, cry and feel their transformation along with them.

B.J. Harrison is one of my favorite narrators as he brings his own unique voice to the story. His tone and inflection pulls you into the story.

Snow, Ski, and Love

Having read the Sisters in Love book I knew that I would enjoy listening to this one again. But I never would have guess how much more I would enjoy listening while working from home due to all of the craziness in this world. This book took me to the mountains and allowed me to fall in love again with Sisters in Love and honestly I’ll probably listen to it again in a few month just as a refresher. If you get the chance to listen, I’d definitely recommend it!!
