The Perfect Audiobook
I don't usually write reviews, but "Das Parfüm" stands out by a mile! Süsskind created a unique character and a fantastic story in the very sense of the word. I listened to the whole book in 2 days and will probably re-listen again and again. The performance by Hans Korte was intuitive, engaged, and engaging. At times I was taken so deeply into the story and the world created by Süsskind and "painted" by Korte that I competely forgot my surroundings. Of course, fluency in German is a prerequisite.

The book and performance are amazing. Have read it several times. The narrator makes it even better. The voice fits the words no well. Fun fact: Also Kurt Cobain's favorite book.
