"Military Thriller fans looking for the next Brad Thor have found their savior in C.W. Lemoine" – BestThrillers.com

Book 2 in the military/political espionage thriller SPECTRE series finds Spectre with a new job – and a new set of problems. His latest mission will force him to confront political deception, international terrorism…and devastating personal loss.

When fighter pilot Cal "Spectre" Martin is recruited by an unacknowledged government organization named Project Archangel, he believes the demons of his past have finally been laid to rest.

But when a top-secret mission to secure chemical weapons in Syria goes horribly wrong, Spectre finds himself thrust back into civilian life. Within days of his forced retirement, an unknown agent attempts to assassinate Spectre and his friends. Although Spectre escapes the assassination attempt, one of his friends is killed, and Spectre's world is shattered by the loss.

Still hunted by the mysterious assassins and tormented with a need to exact vigilante justice, Spectre must decide whether to Avoid, Negotiate or Kill.

Includes a sneak preview of ARCHANGEL FALLEN – book three of the SPECTRE Series.

great story, struggling with the narration

I really like the story, gets me hooked into the characters. I am struggling with the narration, how certain things are pronounced or notated. Being a fan of several things that are spoken of in the book it's hard to listen to how they are being pronounced, Krav Maga being an example. it's a minor complaint, but an honest opinion

Terrible Narration

I am sure that Thomas Block has many talents but narration is not one of his gifts. The delivery is monotone with many mispronounced words, particularly military jargon or technical terms. In addition, many of the characters are indistinguishable. That said, the story is engaging. The authors background certainly enhances the work. I look forward to listening to the remainder of the series.

Despite the production of this book...

This book, as with the first in the series is a huge disappointment. Perhaps a matter of personal taste the choices made in narrator, musical highlights and overall audio production are strictly amateurish and highly distract from what othwrwise is a good story. For a talented streamer on YouTube, who mocks flying scenes based on a career of service in our military (and rightly so!), Lemoine's choice to produce these works instead of placing his works in the hands of talented professionals nearly turns these books into one of those "I took the time to listen, but almost wish I hadn't" events. Besides all that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?

Narration

I had no idea that Stan Lee did audiobooks before he passed away. EXCELSIOR!

Seriously though, good story but the voice actor is a bad fit.

Little to no improvement...

My review of book 1 would pretty much mirror my review of this book. I hoped for and looked for improvements, but I couldn't find any. It's not horrible. I'd give it a rating of Meh.

Exciting Story, Mediocre Narration

I’ve been a fan of C.W. Lemoine’s YouTube channel for sometime, so the Spectre series seemed like it would be great to dive into. I was not disappointed. The pacing is great, the characters interesting, and the plot exciting. I was always on the edge of my seat for what came next. Unfortunately, for as good as the book itself was, I found the narration lacking. I wouldn’t say it was outright terrible as others have said, but it did detract from an otherwise excellent work. I’m hoping the new narrator uses in Book 3 and beyond rectifies this issue.

Overall, despite the narration not quite arriving at greatness, I’d still have no trouble recommending this book, either in it’s written or Audible format.
