The series just gets better!

This series just gets better and better! There are plenty of action, romance, tension, and surprises to keep the listener welded to his or her earphones! I can't wait to listen to the next book in this wonderful series!

I really enjoyed this book.

You'll like this book if you like Eragon, Godling chronicles, and other Dragon / Elves stories. Great read. Can't wait to finish the series.

Plainly, clearly, and unabashedly a cliff hanger!

In some of the recent reviews, the reviewer has stuck their delicate nose in the air and disparaged the author for not being more subtle about the next book in the series and put a distasteful cast to the term "cliff hanger". I hope none of them start this series for I fear they'll perish at the flagrant cliff hanger ending! But it is an appropriate ending in this case: the book has energy and action of the most intriguing kind and encompasses everything that makes a successful listen or read depending on the purchaser's preference. This is a second book and worthy of the 5 stars for story. Buy and enjoy!

characters that draw you into the story. looking forward to book three.

Just as great as I've come to expect

Love this series. It's full of adventure and I can just picture everything in this book.

Story makes up for the slow-talking narrator.

Honestly I hated the first book, I literally was skimming through it as I was so tired of Jaevid getting beat up. He seemed so accepting of it I couldn't listen, it was annoying buuut this book really picks up!! Lots of twists, and character progression of course.

I highly recommend this book.

Narrator is 2/5 but the story is worth it.

The narrator talks a little too slow, and draws out most words in a weird way, sometimes I listen at 1.25 speed... FAR from my favorite narrator.. it's weird. He narrates so slow(talks slow) it feels like Jaevid is a slow thinker, but he's not.
