She can end it all - but at what cost?

Kris Young wants nothing more than to be a normal girl. Thrust into a life she did not ask for, and faced with a future that she does not want, she sets off an adventure that she hopes will lead to her freedom. With her best friend's life, the future of the Kala-Skotadi war, and her own soul at stake, failure is not an option.

Old and new allies unite on a quest against the demigods and Kris's half-sister, Circe, the mastermind behind it all. Together, they fight to sever Kris and Alec from their evil ties once and for all, and rescue Callie from her own doomed fate. But Circe has other plans for them.

When an unexpected loss strikes the group, will Kris lose the will to go on? Or will a need for vengeance drive her to finally succeed?

Find out how the story of Kris, Nathan, Alec, and Callie will end in the epic conclusion to The Ignited Series, where, in the race against time and evil, all bets are off...and no one is safe.

I Can't Believe It's OVER!!!

Since the beginning of this series, I've been totally hooked. Kris, Nathan and Alec are the core, but along they way some of the others etched their way to my heart.

In the finale of the Ignited series, I found myself taken aback to its beginning and how each of the characters evolved. To may that's what makes a perfect story. Trial and error, building relationships, and working together to find an end result.

In this case, my perfect ending would have been differently, with a different guy lol. Nevertheless, the story was perfect and i would not have had it any other way. True love and friendships were tested, sacrifices made all to ensure the prophecies were fulfilled.

Lisa Larsen got better each time she narrated a series, and she did Avenging Heart justice. Again I love her as Kris and Nathan, but her intonation and voice of Alec gave me smiles. Great job on this one.

I'm looking forward to the next set of series Desni Dantone releases. She truly has a gift for writing, especially the BAD BOYS we LOVE to LOVE!

Best book after book 1

I had high hopes for this series after reading the summary for book 1. I liked book 1 a lot, but I really had to push myself through book 2 and 3. If I wasn’t someone that truly hated not finishing a novel...not sure I would have finished. Honestly, I think this whole story could have been done in 2 books.
What almost lost me was the constant love triangle that carried even through book 4 (you know who Kris wants...but there are moments where it’s just roll your eyes and scream “enough!” already). It’s a YA, so I get there will be 2 guys after the 1 girl, but it got really annoying when it just dragged on and on and ON!! Plus, (spoiler alert....stop reading now if you haven’t read) there wasn’t much with Alec and Callie after book 1 and with Alec constant pinning over Kris and then brief time with Lillian...really seemed forced for him to move onto Callie so quickly. That just felt like a quick “got to end it, might as well put these two together” ending.
I think the story premise was good...just way too much repetitive and annoying moments with the love triangle. if you are a huge YA reader...you might like this; but for me, this is a one and done...not like Vampire Academy and Hunger Games where I would revisit again and again.
