their is so much wrong with this book it's hard to listen to first it's too long
now Elinor parents are the most horrible parents a father selling his 15 yrs old daughter to a 60yrs old man to pay off his debts and her mother does nothing saying it's for the best unbelievable
her husband I find very jealous materialistic but very smart
Lucien her lover is a hard man but fair
I don't like Elinor too much I can't understand why would she be upset with her husband and be so loving to her no good parents who sold her I find it unreal

This is the worst book ever!
I have never returned an Audible title, but I'm returning this one. I couldn't finish the book, it was so bad. I couldn't get past the fact the heroine just turned 15 when she's sold by her parents to a man decades older than her. Then said husband prostitutes her to get an heir. Why is this not pedophelia?
