Atomic Greenwash

I understand that there are quite a few people in the nuclear industry, and lobbyists trying to convince us that nuclear energy is the solution to our energy needs , but how shortsighted this idea is . No solution to the radioactive waste problem, only maybe we should reprocess it ? Push it off on the next generation’s to deal with. And the argument that the people who operate Diablo Canyon power plant are somehow more capable of dealing with earthquakes, and spent fuel pools , than Japan , is hubris. I was hoping for something more insightful to our energy problems. The world’s energy needs will have to come from multiple sources, and I can’t imagine how creating more radioactive waste is helping this planet.
