Publisher's Summary

A warrior scarred.... A descendant of Diana.... When two worlds collide.... Atlantis is unmasked. Alexios survived two years of unspeakable torture at the hands of a vampire goddess. Now he's been ordered to team up with a beautiful warrior and take on the most dangerous mission of his life: to retrieve the Vampire's Bane. Without it, Atlantis can't ascend to the surface and take its rightful place in the world. But when evil threatens, will Alexios be led by duty - or his heart? Grace is part of the rebellion against the vampires and shape-shifters trying to take over her world. She is deadly with her bow, because when she takes aim, she never misses her target. But suddenly she's focused on a damaged Atlantean warrior who sees her as a weapon, not as a woman. When thousands of lives are on the line, will passion overrule, or will her aim be true?

Spend some more time with the Warriors of Poseidon.

Entertaining story, irritating performance

I've been following this series since Book 1, and they should definately be listened to in order. I enjoyed this installment. The story is entertaining, if a bit formulaic. There is violence, and there is descriptive sex, but not so much as to overwhelm the story, and some graphic language. Those who might be offended by this should not buy the book. Such things don't bother me so long as they fit into the story (not just sex for sexes sake) and/or fit the characters involved. I like the narrator Joshua Swanson to a point. While narrating the story itself, he does a good job. He even does a decent job of the female characters. But when he speaks in the voice of the Atlantean males, he just overplays it. They come across sounding heroic in an almost cartoonish fashion (for those of you old enough, think Dudley Dooright). While I found this somewhat annoying, it certainly didn't ruin the book for me. All in all, it was a fun read.

Another winner

Another winning narration and story on this series.
Alexios and Grace fight their attraction as well as the shifters that the vampires have put under thrall.
Grace is a descendant of the Godess Diana of the Hunt. So she has talent with weaponry, especially the bow and arrow.
The Fae also make an appearance in this book and want to form an alliance with the Atlantians.

Easy Listen

This was a easy listen with enjoyable characters main and secondary. The story had action, suspense and steam.

Atlantian Alexios and Grace are sent to retrieve the Vampire's Bane.

The Bane is one of the invaluable stones missing from Poseidon's Trident. All stones must be reset in the Trident or Atlantis cannot rise from the bottom of the ocean floor.
