Even on the most smog-bound of days, the rocky outcrop on which the Acropolis stands is visible above the sprawling roof-scape of the Greek capital. An ancient to present day of Athens (mostly)

Excellent history of Athens not only as a city but as a civilizational center. The books turns into a historical account of broader Greece with Athens at the epicenter especially after the classical era. Very good and very easy to listen to!
