Decent Thriller

I have to admit the book was a good mystery with touch of paranormal. I enjoyed the characters of Georgia and Jack (ghost) and Reverend Meeks and Elvis are psycho. Recommend if you enjoy a different murder thriller with good narration. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Thank you

Suspenseful

At the Edge of No Return
By: D. J. Adamson

This audio book was an interesting listen. The listener gets murder, suspense, witness protection, insanity or not, paranormal, and characters that interact well with each other. The suspense will hold you until the end.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Mike Chadwick's fine voice brought it to life.

"What we believe is who we are."

At the Edge of No Return, is a cleverly crafted web of fears and emotions which come together and revive around a house and four characters. After serial killer Elvis Colt had murdered her husband, psychologist Georgia Jenington left witness protection to buy a creepy old house in the small town of Seaward. Rumoured to be haunted, Horizon's End did, indeed, still have a former inhabitant, a ghost jealous of anyone intruding into his property, named Jack, Jack Gordon, though he had scant memory of anything from his past. And, unsuspected by anyone, the Reverend William Meeks, beloved priest of the parish, had just murdered his wife. As the story swirls and explores each character, they are also drawn together in this thrilling psychological exploration of motive and life experiences beyond the usual exploration of murder mysteries.

Even more than for most stories, so much of the impact of this Audiobook is dependent on the narration, and Mike Chadwick does not fail the reader. His deep and p!peasant voice is full of emotional exlression, well articulated and intoned, as well as providing individual and appropriate voicing s for each character. A fine performance.

This is a book which really is hard to put down. It is envolving, thought provoking, visceral, and everything a good thriller should be. My thanks to the rights holder of At The Edge of No Return, who, at my request freely gifted me with a complimentary copy via Audiobook Boom. It was unusual and very much a good read. Recommended.
