  • The Asylum Mount Rushmore: Drummers
    Apr 3 2026

It’s time for another Mt. Rushmore episode. Each Kousin gave their four entries for their drummers of choice, with a song played for each. There wasn’t a collective Rushmore this time around. Perhaps they’ll put one together by next episode? It’s not limited to hard rock or metal drummers, but it was the majority of the drummers’ genre.

Calls from Bruno from South Africa, Jim from Irwin, and Nick Provenzano from California.

What is your Mt. Rushmore of drummers?

Let us know by calling the TLDNetwork (KUZZ Army) hotline and leaving a message for the Kousins at 336-422-NUMB (6862).
We have Instagram and Twitter. We can’t ask for those “enjoy” things and for you to keep getting updates because Facebook doesn’t like that. Pfft…

  • Spinquisition: Arcade by Arcade
    Mar 27 2026

The Spinquisition was back with a whole new album to drop on the Kousins.

The premise is this: the Kousins put out a call for their dedicated listener base to send in album recommendations. As was put to them(ish):
“We will load a long list of albums into the randomizing wheel (we dubbed it ‘Takamata’) with the premise of the episodes being that we have to review an album, start to finish, listening party-style with no prep, no advance notice, and totally at random.”

And the listeners came through! The albums can be any genre as long as they fall in the “Rock” category. Metal, hard rock, grunge, classic rock, current rock, southern rock, new wave, whatever! They can be great, they can suck… all suggestions were welcomed!

Takamata was spun and landed on the album Arcade (1993) by Arcade. That album was submitted by Communal Steve (Wright). Arcade was a “supergroup” (yeah, that’s stretching it a bit) formed by RATT frontman Stephen Pearcy, ex-Cinderella drummer Fred Coury, ex-Sea Hags guitarist Frankie Wilsey, ex-Gypsy Rose guitarist Donny Syracuse, and ex-9.0 bassist Michael Andrews.

The Kousins spun it and gave an honest review of this album.

Calls from Jim from Irwin, Bruno from South Africa, and “Uncle Steve” from Uncle Steve’s Mega Maiden Zone.

Have you heard the album? What did you think?

Let us know by calling the TLDNetwork (KUZZ Army) hotline and leaving a message for the Kousins at 336-422-NUMB (6862).

  • Album Gladiator Showdown – 5150 vs. Eat ‘Em and Smile
    Mar 20 2026

It has been a year since the Kousins did a Gladiator Battle. Oddly enough, one of the albums competing tonight was featured on that one, too. Being as this is the 40th anniversary year of both the first post-DLR Van Halen record and the first post-VH David Lee Roth record, let the two battle it out. So this battle has Kousin Marvin defending Van Halen’s 5150 and Kousin Gary defending Eat ‘Em and Smile.

To reiterate the rules, the winner can either go first or defer their pick after a coin flip. The first selector chooses their “gladiator” or song for battle. After a short listen, the opponent chooses the song (or gladiator) to battle the round’s opening song. The other two Kousins then vote for the winner. The two pickers can also change their vote if they choose to. Whichever song has the most votes… wins. If there’s a tie, well, wait and see. Each combatant has two deferrals (outside the opening coin flip) they can use for the battle.

And, everyone wish Kousin Gary a happy birthday (March 20)!!!

Calls from Apacolypse-Awaiting Bruno from South Africa and Jem from Alabama.

How would you defend either album, and what would be the most challenging match up to vote in?

Let us know by calling the TLDNetwork (KUZZ Army) hotline and leaving a message for the Kousins at 336-422-NUMB (6862).
