Loved this audiobook

This book is refreshing in that it is simple yet potent. It has the ability to provide an understanding of what it means to be properly assertive and precisely how to do so. I really liked this book. I am going to personally recommend it to several people I know. I think that this is a book that will be useful to all listeners whatever the level of assertiveness that they are at now.

Full of great information

This book is full of great information that will help you on how to be more assertive in your life. It was a short listen and this worked for me since I am such a busy person. I would recommend this book.

Well explained!

I like that this book gave several examples on how assertiveness is used. I also liked that the author explained the differences between passive, aggressive,and assertive behavior. I think this book is for everyone. It is a reminder to look at ourselves and our actions.

Provides practical guideline

Through the practical guidelines and real-world scenarios, this book helps to train an individual to think assertively. While this book offers help for those who need to become more assertive, it can offer aid for almost anyone, whether they be passive, assertive, or aggressive, to fine tune their communication skills for a better life. The book doesn't provide a magic pill or overnight cure, but rather provides a way to make a real, positive change within an individual.

Pleased with this listen

The book then continues to provide you with real-world ways to apply the tenets of assertive communication to all the realms of personal life - from work, to relationships, to raising children, and even how to be an assertive consumer. This book also shows the myths that discourage assertive behavior and works with the reader to disprove these myths. With no myth left to hide behind, the listener learns to accept assertive communication.

Provides details information

I was pleasantly surprised by every thing in this book. It provided detailed information regarding the positive uses and outcomes of assertiveness. It was very informative and easy to understand. I did not find myself having to listen the material over and over again trying to make sense of what I just listened, which tends to be an issue for me with most informative books.

Worthy listen

The book also includes a toolkit which provides role-playing scenarios and ways to measure your success. By offering self evaluation tools and tips, "Assertiveness" is a great how-to guide for those seeking ways to stand up for themselves and appreciate their self worth.

Wonderful!

The audiobook is clear and is quite a handy listen. I have a great deal of smart thoughts for leading our discussions and for showing how to wittingly deliver contention and true intentions. It is surprisingly useful to impart assertiveness to my students and make them see how crucial it is to learn this style of communication so they learn to win arguments without lacking respect and integrity that I would want everyone to bear anywhere they go, most especially into building their careers.

Very positive and helpful audiobook

Useful points on how to stand up for yourself. Helped me understand how I can communicate more directly with family and at work. Very positive and helpful audiobook. I enjoyed listening this book because I see good results from reading the first few chapters. I get to assess myself from where I need to start work on my level of assertiveness. It has a clear and useful guide into learning assertive self-expression even in difficult situations.

Motivated me!

This is such an excellent motivational audiobook for me. This book really helped me understand myself better and become more aware of my interactions with others. It has some really good tools for self-assessment. It gets you started in having that inner conversation within, just asking yourself real good springboard questions, enquiring deeper. I found it interesting, enlightening, instructive, and crucial to building stronger relationships and becoming more self-aware.

Changed my life!

Valuable advice.

Zac's explanation on different assertiveness skills was clear and concise. The way Sean read aloud kept me interested in the book and it's valuable advice. So far I have only listened to the first half but the advice given in this book has definitely improved my life.
