Altaïr embarks on a formidable mission - one that takes him throughout the Holy Land and shows him the true meaning of the Assassin's Creed. To demonstrate his commitment, Altaïr must defeat nine deadly enemies, including Templar leader Robert de Sablé. So intriguing!
I personally loved the Journal entry styled writing. It was a fun way to get into Haytham's head. If you enjoy Assassin's Creed you will like this book. Depending on your love of the characters will determine your overall opinion any further. I, myself, love Connor and Edward. So getting some background and filler was an enjoyable experience. Hopefully this helps aide anyone's decisions.

Nothing is true...
I love the story and the characters!! The voice actor reading this book bothers me a bit. He constantly mispronounces the main characters name "Haytham" saying it like "Hat-em" and when there was GERMAN character he made a Scottish accent. Made things very confusing. But with that said he did very well with the character of Haytham.

Excellent book that transfers your imagination
Excellent book for anyone interested in AC universe, world history, American Independence Revolution. The book raises a lot of questions about morale, duty, dedication, and leadership. The book also gives an excellent overview about Templar's order as opposed to Assassin's order and highlights strengths and weaknesses of both. In my opinion the book is better than a game although you can play a game after reading a book to compare the plots. Highly intense but quite depressing at the end-the only caveat!
